"Get down! Knights on the left!" X dodged to the side, and pulled out his shotgun, blowing the head off a nearby Knight. He looked past as the body fell, and saw Havoc dive behind a large metal pylon, and Ryan got a hard kick to the chest. He fell into the dirt, and rolled to the side blasting the hive warrior with a solar blast. He saw X staring, and gave him a nod. X shouted into the comms for the team to regroup, and they all ran towards a large crate, hiding behind it.
"What's the plan X?" Ryan shouted over the explosions and gunfire.
"We have to hold out until David and Alessia get here! Fight like hell!"

"Hoo-rah !" Havoc shouted and flipped over the box, launching himself airborne, and slamming his fists down scattering the enemy forces. Ryan ran out from behind the box as well, and incinerated several acolyte's with his fusion rifle. He levitate into the air, firing several more blasts of solar energy at the Hive.
X vaulted the crate, and blasted several more, pushing the line of soldiers back. They were swarming the foundry, and there weren't enough guardians to spare. He grabbed one by the neck, snapping it, and kicking the corpse into another, which he swept up with his leg, and blasted backwards with an arc charge.

"Sir! Wizards are swarming from the west! We can't hold them back anymore!" The young hunter was clearly rattled and spoke with clear terror. X put his hand on the Hunter's shoulder. "Take a deep breath Youngblood. I'll see what I can do. Go assist our forces to the north."
"Yes sir!" He ran off, his fighting spirit renewed.

X took off and saw a ship, a sleek familiar one. Aurora Lance. David. He thought as the ship darted over the Battlefield bombarding the hive with lasers. The Guardians cheered as he flew overhead. Havoc stood on the front lines and raised his fist shouting over the explosions, "For the Traveler!" The shouts and cheers of the guardians was deafening. X had to decrease the sensitivity of his audio receptors so they wouldn't bust. He joined the charge of Guardians, and clashed with the horde of Hive.

I dropped as a seeker round flew over my head and I shot the attacker, downing him instantly. I flipped to my feet and drew my other hand cannon rushing towards the battle. Alessia was perched in a tower several feet above the battle, tuning her scope. I dodged under a pipe, and flipped over the back of a Hive Thrall, snapping it's neck, and sprinted onward. A Wizard flew feet away, blasting at a few Guardians. A Hunter leapt at it, but the Wizard grabbed him by the throat. The helmet fell off, and I remembered his face. The one from the bar that one night.
My mind flashed back to the moment, I saw his cheerful face throwing newly coordinated knives into the dartboard. My mind snapped back to reality and I sprinted full speed. I had to save him. "Hang on!" I held my hand out and the hunter looked at me weakly, giving a broken smile, blood running down his face. With a flash of light, the guardian was reduced to ashes. "No!" I screamed in rage and my handgun was engulfed in flame. I jumped into the air, kicking the wizard to the dirt. I stood over him, a golden aura bathing me in flame. And I popped a round in his head, his ashes joining those of my fallen brother in arms. My eyes shone with a new vindication, and I rushed into battle, mindlessly slaughtering the hive with my smothering flames. I snap kicked an acolyte, and used the momentum to flip into a spinning back kick to a nearby Knight. My flaming heel cut through him like a knife through butter. I landed in a crouch, spinning to a stop. I drew two knives from my belt and speared two more in front of me. Ryan flew in from my left and atomized a Knight, just as it swung down at me.

"Glad you're here!" Ryan shouted as he held back the oncoming horde.

"Let's just kill these bastards and get out of here." I spun to my right and an arc bullet tore through the head of three airborne thralls, and I nodded my thanks to Alessia.

"David!" X leapt over a Knight, using its head as a step, and flipped forward blowing it off with The Fourth Horseman. He reloaded the gun and jogged over. "Glad you're here. We needed the backup."

"I know. Clearly." I said sarcastically and I drew another hand cannon firing in two directions. We were surrounded. They just kept coming. Suddenly they stopped and a loud roar shook the Battlefield. We all stopped and looked to its source, and saw a massive Hive warrior. Resembling a Knight, but it had to be more than 60 feet tall. We shrunk back, and I called for a retreat.
Guardians fled the scene, but most weren't so lucky. The warrior swept his blade left to right slaughtering our soldiers. "Keep running!" I leapt over a rock, and fired a few rounds back to stun it. "Havoc, Ryan, Alli, on me! X, get these Youngbloods to the evac point!"
"Roger! Get that bastard!" He bumped my fist and ran off guiding the others to safety. Ryan flew in, and landed behind me. "Game time?"

Havoc landed with a Shockwave and slammed his fists together. "This will be fun!"

Alessia rolled into a landing to my left. "Let's show this asshat how Lupi gets things done."
And we charged towards the Titan.

*this will be the last chapter posted for a little while, as I'm quite busy this weekend. I will try to have a chapter done for sunday evening, but no promises. I hope you enjoyed it*
