Chapter 18

I get to move into my house today and I'm so excited. All the guys are helping me paint and move furniture into it.

The house is downtown and right on the beach. It's absolutely perfect.

Carsons parents are so sweet to be giving in to me. I have to admit it's a little strange that a random girl comes over to your house for dinner and you automatically give her a house but I'm not going to complain.

All of us spilt up into different rooms to get all the painting done. Hayes and I started upstairs in what would be my room.

Hayes opened the can of paint while I got the rollers ready.

I had on a huge old tshirt that went all the way to my knees and Hayes was shirtless.

I handed him a roller and we began painting after laying clear plastic on the floor.

I climbed on the ladder and started painting the ceiling while Hayes painted the other part of the wall.

Soon I needed more paint so I walked over to the bucket to get more.

I dipped my roller in the paint quickly bringing it up and slinging luang on Hayes who was now standing there too.

"Hayes im so sorry" I said laughing

He had splatters of paint all over his chest

"Oh it's on" he said

He picked up a brush and slung paint all on me

I dipped my hands in the paint and grabbed him leaving handprints all on his bare chest.

He picked up as roller and ran it all down my leg. He then picked up a whole tray of paint and began chasing me around the room with it.

As I was running I slipped on same paint that had fallen on the plastic. This caused Hayes to trip and fall on top of me pouring the paint on us both.

"Hayes" I screamed as the paint flew all in my hair

"Im sorry babe" he said laughing

Soon we got up and finished painting. As it was drying we took a walk out on the beautiful beach.

Carson had left to go get us all some food so we all took a break.

"Wow Kendall you've really got a beautiful place" Matt said

"Oh I know. I owe it all to Carson and his family though" I smiled

Maggie and Jack G have seemed to hit it off lately. They sat by the ocean both laughing at whatever they might possibly be talking about.

Matt and I walked down the beach as I picked up shells

"I'm so glad to have you here with me sis" he said

"Me too. I've missed you like crazy"

Suddenly Maggie came running to me with tears in her eyes

"Kendall that was mom and dad. Carson has been in a wreck and was airlifted to the hospital"

In this moment there was nothing I could say.

We both ran over to my car and began driving to the hospital in silence

We walked in to find Mr and Mrs Sheldon sitting in the waiting room. Both looking full of sorrow.
