(So this was for a tag and stuff. You can read that tag 20 otp book with tag if ya want. I'm putting this in here because it counts as a short. Just saying, this is over rated. This meeting is cliche. The only thing which isn't cliche is that I didn't make Laney seem really scared of everything like a Larry)
Today was Corey's first day of school! He just moved to Peaceville a few days ago, and he totally ready to go to school. While his big sister Katrina helped him get ready he kept on talking about how awesome today would be. She just smiled and listened, his sister was really nice, he hopes she will never change. After a few minutes his Dad took him and Katrina to school.
When they arrived Katrina let Corey go by himself and explore the school while she did her own things. But of course she had to first do the bubble hug where everyone laughed and he put his shirt back down in embarrassment. She giggled as she skipped off. Corey just shrugged and ran into a random classroom.
And after being told off for going into the teacher's lounge....
He was directed to his right classroom, seeing many children his age. The teacher started to start the roll, with his last name being near the middle, Corey curiously looked around the classroom. Many artworks and posters cover the walls. He smiled to himself and heard the teacher saying, "Laney Penn?" He heard a "Present" He looked around and saw a girl with short red hair sitting at the back by herself. Soon he heard his name and eagerly said, "PRESENT!" Everyone laughed.
The teacher let him introduce himself to the class, he stated is name, what he liked, disliked and all that stuff. He also brought his guitar, he riffed a little, everyone looked amazed but his playing seemed to catch the red headed girl's attention. She looked at him with wide eyes while he game a simple smile.
Soon after the introduction, the teacher was explaining, everyone would be going into pairs for a music assignment (Yeah they're like 5, let's just say simple music) Corey knew he would totally ace this, he just needed a partner...
Soon everyone was surrounding him so he could be their partner.
Looked like he was already the popular kid. He shrugged and walked past them leaving everyone confused. He walked up to the red haired girl and said, "Hey.... I'm Corey" She blinked and rolled her eyes at him. Weird. "Wanna be partners?" Laney shrugged, "You're probably just one those hot-shots." He was shocked was the least to say, but this was new. This will be fun.
He looked back and saw everyone was already in pairs, looks we're the only two left. She just rolled her eyes and sighed, "Fine." He sat next to her, 'Who said you could sit here?" He smirked, "Well we're practicing now, aren't we?" She crossed her arms.
This Laney girl was REALLY GOOD AT MUSIC. She could play bass, his guitar, even trumpet. Weren't they supposed to be 5? (ikr) Corey said, "Well we're going to ace this." She smiled, "I guess." She still didn't seem to like him... but he was growing on her.
First up were this twins, they called themselves Kin and Kon. One was playing drums and the other was playing keyboard. They were AMAZING. Soon it was their turn to perform, let's just say the no one had any words and the teacher gave them every kind of sticker they wanted. Well it was the end of the day, Corey saw his car and started walking towards it but was stopped by a hand, he looked to see Laney stopping his.
"What's up." She was silent for a few seconds but then said, "Just wanted to say.... you were cool. Maybe we could play on the swings tomorrow." (because I mean they're TOTALLY 5) He nodded and said, "That would be fun, he did a nudgie on Laney and ran off shouted, "CYA LANES!" Laney was speechless for a few seconds but then quietly said, "Cya Core"
