(I know it's like a month late but here have this lol)
Valentine's Day.
It was coming up soon, people have already started chattering about it in excitement, eagerly awaiting for that one special day. Pink and red streamer dangled from the ceiling lights, paper love hearts were stuck on everyone's lockers, with cheesy pick up lines like, "Are you an angle, because you're acute one."
It was the one day of the year Larry felt even worse for himself.
Every year, he told himself he was going to give something to Carrie for Valentine's Day, face to face, but each year he always found an excuse to back out of it.
One year he came up with, "Oh we're playing a gig! She going to be too busy."
Another year he thought, "Maybe she's allergic to Chocolate."
But this year, was the year he was determined to get her something.
It was now the day before Valetine's Day, Larry sat at the usual Cafeteria table he and his friends sat at, the one furthest away from Grojband, of course this was decided by their band leader, Carrie. He held a pen in his hand, and stared at the empty piece of paper sitting before him. He started writing, "Dear Carrie..." but then stopped there.
How could he continue from that?
He's heard all kind of storied of Carrie receiving a bunch of letters, chocolates, roses, anything considered gift-worthy, from multiple students from the school, because she was so popular, but never once as he ever seen her taking any particular interest in anyone.
She always seemed like she didn't even care at all, saying, "Oh, I got more chocolate. Want some?"
Larry wanted to give Carrie something which would capture her eyes.
Just as he was about to scrunch another piece of paper, he heard recognisable voices coming towards him, it was the twins! He could not show this to them, he didn't want to live the rest of his life, being teased by Kim and Konnie about having a crush on their band leader. He quickly stuff all the paper into his bag, put the pen in his pocket, and started eating his food, pretending that he was going that all along.
"Hey Larry," Said Kim, as she and her sister sat at the table.
"H-hey guys," Larry replied, sweat forming at his forehead as he tried to keep a straight face.
"Oh! Are you acting really weird because you're gonna try giving something to Carrie again?" said Konnie.
Larry gasped. How did she know??? Was he really that obvious? The twins started giggling as Larry looked down in embarrassment.
"Oh Larry, you're really not that subtle," said Kim as she stopped laughing, "but don't worry, we can help you!"
"R-really?" Asked Larry, looking up at the girl with glasses. She nodded, as well as Konnie.
Larry smiled at the two of them, "Thank you."
---
Larry paced around back and forth in Carrie's garage, while being watched by Kim and Konnie.
"Can you give her chocolates, a note, a rose?" Suggested Kim.
"But she's received all of that before and she's never liked them!" whined Larry, getting nervous as he was cutting it close.
"Give her ice-cream! I'd love any guy if he gave me ice-cream!" said Konnie, totally missing the point.
Larry sighed in defeat as he sat down on a chair, "it's too late, this was the year I was going to give her something meaningful... but I blew it." He put his hands to his face as he sighed once more.
Suddenly Kim started to smirk as she stood up, "I have an idea."
"What is it?" Asked Larry, getting suspicious.
"Leave it to us!" Kim said, as she and Konnie grinned.
Larry was starting to regret his life choices.
---
It was finally Valentine's Day, and Larry was worried.
He hasn't heard anything from Kim or Konnie since yesterday, and he had no idea on what they were planning. He spotted Carrie, who opened her locker, which was filled with multiple gifts. Once again Carrie paid no attention to them as she grabbed some books, and walked towards Larry.
"Hey Larrs, how's Valentine's Day going for you?" She asked him.
Trying to act as calm as possible, he stuttered, "G-great!" He was lying through his teeth.
"Kim said you wanted to see me?"
Larry mentally made a note to murder Kim for putting him into this situation.
"I uh...."
Suddenly the lights dimmed, and the loud voices of everyone quieted down as quiet music started playing. A bright spotlight shone on the two of them, as red rose fells from the ceiling. Carrie, absolutely confused, looked around, then faced Larry, "Larrs... what is this?"
"I um-"
Another light then shone on a wall, with a red banner hanging from it, with the words, "I love you Carrie! From Larry,' written in big, pink, fancy writing.
Larry wanted to die in the spot, this was his most embarrassing moment, surely Carrie would reject him, act as if this was a waste of his time, laugh and humiliate him. All these thoughts ran through his mind all at once, but then snapped out of it when hearing Carrie's voice.
"Larry.... you did this for me?" She questioned slowly.
"This is Ki-"
"I LOVE IT!" She squealed and hugged him!"
Wait what?
"I've been waiting for you to do this for years! Finally, you've worked up the guts! I'm so proud of you!" Carrie started ranting, Larry stood there paralysed, not being able to compute the whole situation.
"Wait... what are you talking about?" He asked in confusion.
"Oh," she said, as if she just realised he existed, "I knew you were holding off on giving me something for all these years so I was practically waiting for you to work up the guts, which was why I didn't really care about what anyone else got me. But now you have! I didn't expect you to go so big!"
Carrie knew he liked her?
Carrie knew he liked her.
Carrie knew he liked her.
Larry was speechless.
"Oh, also, yeah sure I'll go out with you," she then walked off as the lights came back on, and everyone else want back to their usual routine, leaving a frozen Larry.
After comprehending everything that just happened the last five minutes, Larry's shocked expression soon got replaced with a huge grin. Carrie agreed to go out with him!
This was the best (and weirdest) Valentine's he's ever had!
(Please send in more requests cause I have no ideas lol, also this was so random lol)
