Kotoro rushed over to the girl quickly, gently holding her body up and head down, using tissues to minimize the amount of blood she was losing. He picked her up and carried her out, emailing the teacher he was going home for the day. He also sent an email to the principal telling him that Sawako had passed out on the stairs and that she'd be in urgent care for a few hours. Although he did not disclose the location. She stayed unconscious and silent only thinking about what her brother would think. What was wrong with her, she used to be so strong. Now she was being carried somewhere. She slightly opened her eyes but then closed them shut. Silence was her only friend.
She woke in the bed of a strange room, one lined with technologies, some of it medical. Her nose was back in position and all the blood cleaned off her face. There was a computer desk that someone fell asleep on, it was Kotoro. She slept on the bed, starting to wake up. Fully opening her eyes she grabbed her bag and tried to stand up. She grabbed her shoes and looked for an exit. Seeing a door she approached it and turned the knob. She looked around and went outside, silently closing the door. She saw the bridge in the distance and went there to rest. Sitting on the edge of the water she put on her shoes and ate the small pastry she had in her bag, remembering she had to help Oliver with the display. “Fuck,“ she muttered to herself quietly and stood up, heading towards the center of town. Arriving she was met with a hug and a kiss on the forehead. “Sometimes you treat me too well,” he had a hint of sadness. “Oliver are you okay?” he shook his head, that's when she noticed it was early in the afternoon. “You were gone for so long, your mom came in and asked for you but I had no idea where you were. You worried us you idiot.” she stood there kind of happy that they noticed she was gone but also that the first person they asked was Oliver and not someone from the school. “I'm fine Oliver, I just had an accident at school and ended up hurting my nose, I'm sorry, can I call my mom?” he nodded and pointed to the workplaces phone. She dialed her number, at the third ring she answered “Hey mo-” she was cut off by her mother's crying and screaming “Mom calm down I'm fine I just had to go somewhere because of an injury to my face. I'll be home after I help Oliver out with some things. I'll show you what happened when I get home,” her mom tried to stop crying but choked in her tears in the process.
“O-okay”
“Thanks mom, bye, I love you” with that she hung up the phone and sat at the counter with Oliver. “Surprise me Oli.”Kotoro woke up late into the afternoon, turning to notice that she was gone. “She must've woke up already. I wonder where she is,” he said as he got up to start cleaning the blood off of his bed and pillow. This wasn't his first time dealing with this situation, and knew the procedure well.
She took a small bite of the pastry that sat in front of her. “So I think you should place these three on the top display, these two in the second, and these four on the bottom,” she said organizing the plates in groups. Oliver was writing down what she was saying and nodded at the words. “Alright Saki, you can go home now.” she picked up her bag and waved goodbye. On her way home she stood on the railing of the red bridge that stood across the small stream below. Looking at the water glistening from the orange sunlight made her feel like a kid again. The only thing that would make the better is if she could play in the water. Taking the risk she took off her shoes and stalkings, walking across the bridge and down to the grassy area below she placed down her things and stepped into the clear water. The cool water peirced her skin like daggers. It had been so long since she had a moment to relax, she moved closer to under the bridge and enjoyed the shade given off by it. She wondered how others were doing, she wasn't much to think of it but it sometimes came up. She looked at her phone and saw it was almost dead, as predicted. Instead she played with the small charm at the end of her phone, it was easy to tell that she was entertained easily. Placing her hands into the water she started to sneeze, this caused her pain.
A small amount of blood leaked from her nose, it was cold but not too cold. Picking up her things she walked home, her feet were still wet and her skirt was fairly wrinkled, she has been wearing it for a day after all. Getting her keys out of her bag she unlocked the door to the house and was almost immediately tackled by something around twice her size. “Hinata get off me!” she yelled having to struggle slightly to escape her brothers strong grip. “You had mom worried sick, what the hell happened to your nose?!?” she placed her hands over her face out of embarrassment. “I might have broken my nose when I fell face first in class. I'm surprised my glasses didn't break.” Hinata then proceeded to pick up his sister and carried her inside. “Hey I can walk on my own!” she struggled but was slightly out of breath from his grip on her. “Stay on the couch, I'll get mom and Sapphire so we can go to the hospital.” she slouched back into the sofa and sighed, she didn't like it when people worried about her. He came back with a small child and placed her in Sawako's arms, half asleep the baby hit Sawako's nose, this of course caused her to cry but she couldn't be mad at the child. When her mom came into the living room she was hugged tightly and led to the car. Around 5 minutes later they arrived at the ER, she was taken in half an hour later for examination. The X-ray showed that her nose was straight and there was only minor bleeding due to the force of the sneeze. She was given a small cast, it was hard to explain but she didn't want to be at school while she had it on. For the next week she stayed at home, only leaving the house to help Oliver out at the bakery.
