Why was she so different from the others?  She seemed to be like any other girl at the school, but there was something off about her.  He passed by the bakery and saw the small girl talking to someone who seemed to work there. “Oliver, remember to adjust the temperature of the oven when the pudding is in there and to preheat the oven ten minutes before anything goes in it. Also don't fill the tray with water but keep it at the ¾ mark.  Got it?” he nodded frantically and said sorry for his actions. Handing her a bag he planted a kiss on her forehead. “I have to go but I'll be back after school to help you pick pastries to put in for tomorrow's display,” he smiled and went back to work. She placed the bag in her backpack and walked out the sliding doors, trying to find her keys she bumped into someone.

She fell back onto the floor, everything was blurred. “Gomen’nasai,“ She quickly got on her knees and searched for her glasses. Suddenly her vision adjusted and she saw that her glasses were placed back where they used to be. The new kid was standing over her, embarrassed by the situation she grabbed her bag and stood up, “Arigatō. ” She then proceeded to walk quickly to school only to feel uneasy as Kotoro walked behind her.

Going through the school doors she felt his aura behind her. She looked back slightly angry “why are you behind me?” he however showed no emotion. “because we walk the same way,” he went to his locker and put on the other pair of shoes he had in there. Sawako did the same and then went into the student council room to get add creamer to her coffee. There was something about that guy that irritated her but she was too tired to think about all of this. She took a small plastic stick from a cup and mixed her coffee. Looking at the time she made her way to class receiving a few looks from people, mostly her old friends. She didn't expect things to get better, she just wanted them to do it behind her back instead of to her face. The constant teasing was enough to send anyone down a spiral of misery. Even so she tried her best to ignore them and walked faster. Opening the door to her class she sat down and tried to read her book, she felt as if reading was a good substitute for having friends but she knew it was only a distraction so she wouldn't always be down. Kotoro tapped her shoulder but she wouldn't respond, she was too embarrassed about what happened just an half an hour ago. Turning her attention back to her book she read the last chapter and closed the book. She felt a connection with the main character but she knew she wouldn't have that same life.

The teacher entered the classroom, she took out her notebook and began to write the notes on the board. About an hour into the lesson she got a text from her brother.

Hinata: Come outside. It's important.

Sawako: I'm in class Hinata, I can't just leave in the middle of the lesson.

Hinata: Well ask to go to the bathroom because Sapphire is out here with me.

Sawako immediately raised her hand and asked to be excused to use the restroom. Getting her phone she nearly fell going outside. Holding onto the railing of the stairs she carefully made sure not to trip. She was clumsy sure, but she wasn't ready to leave her baby behind. Going out to where the cherry blossom trees were she saw her brother sitting under one with a cry child. Walking over to them she sat on the floor, Hinata handed her the baby. She rocked her and sang to her trying to calm her down. It took nearly half an hour before she calmed down. “I'm sorry I had you do this, she just wouldn't stop crying, I changed her, fed her, sang to her, but she kept going.” he looked embarrassed by the fact that he couldn't care for a child. “it's alright, just get me out of class so I can go with you two and make sure she doesn't cry anymore.” he nodded, both of them stood up and walked towards the school's entrance. Sawako went back to class and sat down,  waiting to be called up by the front office.  When she was called everyone gave her a stone cold look. She quickly grabbed her bag but tripped over the leg of her chair and fell down. She stood up and covered her nose, however, Kotoro noticed the small puddle of blood on the wooden floor. It was a little too late to ask if she was okay, she was already out the door. He asked the teacher to be excused, the teacher didn't really mind. He grabbed a few tissues from the bathroom and ran to catch up with her.  He tapped her shoulder lightly to grab her attention. Startled by this she slipped, quickly holding onto the rail. He caught her by her free arm so she wouldn't hit the ground, slowly hoisting her back up. “I know you probably don't like me and all, but can I see your nose for a bit?” Rather than his normal look, he actually showed emotion, concern to be precise. She hesitated but slowly moved her hand, small streams of blood ran down her lips and some dripping onto the floor. He used the tissues he grabbed to wipe some blood off her face so he could see everything clearly. She winced at the touch. Her nose was swollen, and more than likely broken from the impact. He looked at her with a bit of concern once more “It’s probably broken. I'll be more than happy to take you to the nearby hospital after school if need be.” she shook her head. “it's fine, I'll be fine. My brother is here anyways,” she continued to walk down the stairs. He watched her as she left, to ensure she didn't fall or get any nausea. “Keep the tissues, and pinch it so your blood clots and stops the bleeding” he said as he left. She wasn't paying attention and leaned against  a wall to catch her breath, she wasn't used to losing this much blood. Slowed breathing and slight tears, she passed out on the stairs. Her phone kept ringing but she couldn't answer.
