Everything felt so different to her, she didn't feel like herself. She laid in bed and kept looking outside wondering when the sun would come up. She wanted to be alone but why did she enjoy his company more than before...she just didn't understand. It was different than being with Oliver, but why? She got out of bed and sat on the carpet, she didn't understand why she wanted to be closer, it made her sick. She huddled her knees closer to her face and laid down, her body felt better like this but she couldn't stay in this position forever. She saw the light of her phone blink and she checked to see what was sent to her. An unknown number appeared on screen with two texts.

??: I'm still here.

??:I'm not easy to get rid of.

She immediately shut off her phone and held her knees tighter. She couldn't take all of these emotions at once. There was a tap on her shoulder. She moved away from it and held on tighter.

"Hey, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost...."

"I think I'm just lacking sleep..I can't sleep"

"There anything i can do to help? Warm milk, sleeping pills, anything?"

"Those don't work on me, I've tried, why do you think I always had coffee before class?" He shrugged in response.

"A lot of people start off mornings with coffee." he said as he sat beside her, worried about her mental health.

"Yeah but not with six cups of it, even so the normal amount I drink is seven or eight."

"Why do you drink so much coffee?"

"It makes me feel right, it doesn't keep me awake but I can't help but think that I need it every morning."

"Want me to make us some and we can just relax until sunrise?"

"You just go back to bed"

"Once I'm awake, it's gonna stay that way for a while."

"I dont think its a good idea for you to be awake anyways."

"Why is that?"

"The reason I'm awake is because you sort of make me sick.."

"....Oh..." he stood up slowly "I'll....leave you alone then."

"I'd like that but...I also want to have you close to me," she whispered.

He grabbed his cigarettes, lighter, and jacket before heading outside

"Whatever.." she whispered again. She was kind of happy that he didn't hear it. Outside the house kotoro leaned against the wall and lit his cigarette, he felt guilty but didn't know why. He didn't do anything wrong to his knowledge, and had no idea what to do besides escape. Sawako still sat on the floor, it felt colder but she didn't care, it made her know that she could still feel. She got up and slightly stumbled over to the bathroom, she went inside but didn't turn the light on. Kotoro suddenly had a coughing fit, too much smoke in his lungs. Sawako heard this and went to check out the noise. He sighed and violently threw the cigarettes into the darkness, coughing a little and slumping against the house. Sawako walked outside and noticed this.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." his voice showed he was irritated, more than likely with his smoking.

"Come on back inside," she held out her hand to him. He looked at her for a moment before taking her hand and standing up.

"Let's go to bed," she opened the door and brought him inside locking it and going to bed. He stayed silent then on, turning and staying away from her as he slept. She noticed this and got closer to him.
