CHAPTER 37 - Baby Evans

           

"We're home," Sebastian shouted when they came back to their apartment, "thank god they're back!" Natalie said, looking like a mess, "you look terrible, what happened?" Elena was a little bit worried, "we haven't slept all night," Chris pointed, "why?" Sebastian asked, "because we were watching Tobias! All night, if he was breathing and everything you know......I don't get how you two can keep doing this," Elena and Sebastian laughed, "welcome in parenthood......but you didn't have to watch him all night, he's month old and there are baby monitors everywhere," "we didn't know that ok?" Chris had red eyes, "I can't believe that you haven't slept all night, it's hilarious," Sebastian laughed at Chris, "you have to be prepared when baby Evans comes," Elena said, "just stop it! there is no baby Evans and after last night won't be!" Natalie answered loudly and left the room, "you two need some sleep, you're both moody," Elena laughed again and went after Natalie, "I guess you enjoyed last night," Chris looked at Sebastian, "I love her so much. It was perfect," he smiled, "I just hope that another baby Stan is not coming soon," Chris yawned, "I'm pretty sure it's not and what about that baby Evans thing? Is there something we don't know?" "no no no..we just posted a photo of Tobias and everyone started asking about baby Evans and everything," "and? Don't you think it's time for you to start a family?" "I don't know, actually I freaked out about the idea of me being a father......I mean I love Nat, but I don't think we're ready for a baby now," Sebastian just nodded "yesterday was fun with Tobias....I mean she is great with babies, but I'm not ready," "you just need to figure it out, you know, how to act around babies and how to change diapers or how to recognize if there is something wrong with him. I freak out everytime when I don't know what is wrong or when he is crying and I can't calm him down....I actually can't imagine my life without him. What if El didn't come to me when she found out  she was pregnant, I wouldn't know about my own son,", Elena and Natalie came back, they stopped when they saw Sebastian and Chris silently sitting in the kitchen, "you both look like you have seen a ghost," Natalie said, "if there is a ghost, I'm moving out," Elena looked at Sebastian, "no...we were just thinking, that's all," Sebastian finally broke their silence and smiled, "I'm not gonna ask about what....we can go Chris, if you want to," Natalie said, "yeah, sure babe.....if you need babysitters again, just call us, okay?" he hugged Elena, "we sure will," she answered him, "besides you need to spend more time around babies," Sebastian whispered to Chris, "I think I need to," he answered him back.

Elena asked, when Chris and Natalie left, "just some man stuff," "really?.....just tell me that there is no ghost in the apartment," "there is no ghost, trust me, if he would be here I would run away," Elena just laughed, "but you looked frightened and sad about something," she looked at him and he sighed, "we were just talking about family...about how I can't imagine life without Toby.....I mean, what if you wouldn't come to me when you found out that you were expecting him.....it would be so sad having him and not knowing about him...." he looked down, "so you're happy that I came? Would you change anything?" he looked at her back, "no I wouldn't change anything, I love being a father....I just don't get that Chris is scared of it," "he is scared of having a baby?" "baby Evans sounds great, but he freaked out," "Nat too," "really?" "she told me that she is not ready and that she is scared of losing Chris, because she thinks that he wants to have a baby Evans," "he told me the same and then I told him how much it freaks me out, but I still love it" "baby Evans sounds cute actually," "Tobias would have a friend to play with," "they just need time and they need to talk about this," she said and kissed him, Tobias started crying, "I'll go get him," he kissed her forehead.
