CHAPTER 20 - Where is he?!

                  

The day of the next doctors appointment came. Elena felt really nervous, but she didn't want to show it to Sebastian or to someone else. "Ready to see our baby?" Sebastian was excited, "yeah, I guess so," and she wasn't, "is something wrong?" "no, no. I just, this is the final test of the first trimester," "and?" "I'm nervous okay? I've got a bad feeling about it," "El, we've talked about this. You're healthy and our baby is too, you don't have to worry," he hugged her, "okay, let's just go." They were waiting in the separate room, Elena was silent, but Sebastian held her hand. The doctor came in, "hi Elena, how are you feeling? I can see you've got a baby bump already. What about your morning sickness?" "I'm feeling good lately, I don't have morning sickness everyday like before," "that's great to hear. Let's do the tests. I will start with some blood tests and then further ultrasound scan to see if your baby is healthy. Don't worry, you hadn't had complications, so I guess your baby is fine," Elena nodded and Sebastian looked at her with a smile. The doctor prepared everything. She took the blood tests and then the ultrasound. It took more time than ever before, "is everything alright?" Elena asked and the doctor turned off the ultrasound, "I have to say, you've got a really healthy baby inside of you, congratulations." Elena felt relieved and she looked at Sebastian, "I was right," he said and kissed her forehead, "you two will be great parents," the doctor said and continued, "and you don't have to go on an appointment next month, so I will schedule your appointment in 2 months."

They were eating lunch in a restaurant, "and now, tell me the truth. Did you feel nervous? A little bit?" she asked him and he looked down, "okay, I was nervous, but just a little bit. And I felt nervous just because of you, you were so worried and it made me nervous," "but you were right, I have to listen to you more in those kind of things," she smiled. They continued with a little walk back to their apartment, "and when are you leaving for the next filming?" "in January," "so, we've got only one month?" he looked sad, "yeah. Our first Christmas together and our first New year's eve and then I have to leave for 2 weeks. I was thinking, do you want to go with me?" "I'd like to go, but is it a good idea? I will be on the beginning of 5th month and I think I will have a baby bump already," "I want you there and we should announce it soon," "we will figure something out," they continued, "so.....our first Christmas," he started, "yeah. All I want for Christmas is our baby to be healthy," "maybe you will get something more, but just maybe," "I don't need anything Seb. Just normal Christmas. Christmas tree and Christmas atmosphere, that's all," he nodded and smiled, "I think these Christmas are going to be my best Christmas," "and next year, we will have our little one with us too," "I swear, Mackie, Chris and Chace will buy a lot of gifts for our baby," "there is gonna be a huge fight over who will be a godfather," "I haven't decided it yet, so I will make some kind of competition," "really? a competition?" "I know, but I have to. It's really hard to decide, it's really important and they are my best friends. I think the godmother will be Nat, right?" "yes. She is like my sister. And speaking of the sister, I forgot that my brother is coming to the town next week, oh god I totally forgot!" "wait, your brother?" "yeah and I think he knows that it was a one night stand," "he is gonna kill me!" "wait, wait, don't freak out. It will be okay, I can handle him," "but it's your brother. If I had a pregnant sister, because she had one night stand with someone, I would kill him," she smiled, "you have a week to prepare yourself."

Next few days were beautiful. Sebastian was still with Elena, sometimes he was in the gym, but he was going everywhere with her. On her practices and workshops with Yanis. He even started dancing with her and he was great. It was Friday morning and Sebastian was in bathroom, Elena was in the kitchen. Someone knocked on the front door and Elena went to open it. It was her brother and he looked really angry, her sister in law was standing behind him and she was shaking her head, "Where is he?!" he shouted, "Lucas calm down," Elena said to him, "I've tried to talk to him, but he's got his own opinion on this situation," Claire said and Lucas ran into their apartment, "so, where is he?!" Sebastian came back from bathroom looking confused as hell, "you! you got my little sister pregnant!" Lucas was walking towards him and Elena jumped in front of Sebastian, "Lucas stop!" "Elena, move," Claire grabbed Lucas's hands, "Lucas! Are you insane?!" "he knocked up my sister!" "yes, that's true, but we are a couple now and....and I want to be with your sister. She means the world to me and this baby too," Lucas calmed down a little, "but why did you lie to us El? to me? I'm your brother," "because you would react the same way Luke," "no, I wouldn't," "yes, you would," Claire pointed. They sat down on the couch, "I guess you're Lucas, I'm Sebastian by the way," Lucas just looked at him and looked back down, "I'm Claire, nice to meet you," she smiled, "it's nice to meet you too Claire," Elena looked at Lucas, "can you please stop being offended?" "no. You should have told us the truth," "it's not your business anyway," "it's not? You're my sister for god sake! I care, okay?" and Elena felt sad, Sebastian took her hand into his, "look," he started, "we didn't plan this situation. It's all new for both of us, but.....we want to make things work," Lucas looked into his eyes and Sebastian continued, "I'm sorry, that I've got your sister into this situation, but I really like her," "so.....are you two together? like for real?" Lucas finally spoke, "yes, we are Luke and we want to take care of the baby together," Elena leaned closer to Sebastian, "see, I've told you, they are like a normal couple," Claire said, "it's not normal to start a relationship with a one night stand," "actually, when I met her, I didn't want it to be just a one night stand. Your sister disappeared in the morning and I didn't know how to contact her, so..." "okay Seb, we get it," they were silent for a moment, "and.....how is the baby?" Lucas asked and Elena with Sebastian smiled, "the baby is perfectly fine and I just want him or her to be here with us," Elena said, "and we had an appointment few days ago, we've got new ultrasound pictures," Sebastian added, "can we see them?" Claire asked, "yeah, of course," Sebastian jumped out from the couch and ran for the pictures, "he is really excited, right?" Claire whispered and Lucas rolled his eyes, Sebastian came back with some pictures of the baby. Claire was really excited and Lucas was silent, "my little sister is pregnant. I just....I just wasn't prepared for this. You will always be my little sister and," he looked at Sebastian, "I'm glad, that you're happy, but Sebastian....if you hurt her I will kill you," "I'm aware of that, trust me."

The atmosphere started to be calmer. They talked about a lot of things, Claire and Lucas told some stories about Elena and Sebastian found them hilarious. "What about we take a walk around the city?" Sebastian suggested, "that's good idea, but we have to unpack some things and then we can go," Claire explained, "okay, what about we meet somewhere and then just go?" Elena added, "okay," Lucas said.

"didn't you say that you can handle him?" Sebastian looked at her, "you were scared huh?" Elena laughed, "I thought he will punch me right in the face, but when you jumped in front of me I was freaking out. He could have punched you instead of me El," "no, it's my brother, he would never punch me," "okay, but I was scared," he hugged her and kissed her, "he just has to know you more, that's all," "you think he will like me someday?" "someday he will, someday." They put some warmer clothes on and went out to the meeting place.

Lucas and Claire finally came. They took a walk around beautiful spots of the city and spent all day together. Lucas and Sebastian seemed to be on a better note than before. They joked a lot around themselves. Claire showed Sebastian some pictures of little Laura and he was excited to meet her too someday, like Elena's parents.
