it's been 7 days since i was captured by the girl i thought i loved.

the cell wasn't that bad of a place. they fed me good food to keep me alive, and surprisingly, i made friends with one of the guards. his name was lincoln. he was very nice to me, and he was against the ideas of his kingdom. he was forced to work with them.

lexa didn't visit, she never did. after the day i went off on her, she never spoke to me again. and i was glad.

but part of me missed her. why would i miss her after everything? i don't miss her. i honestly don't know what i am supposed to feel.

no. she messed up everything. she got my father killed. why would i ever forgive her?

i wish i never found her wandering in the woods.

on the eighth day, i planned for an escape. there was no way i would stay in here. my kingdom couldn't start a war or do anything because i didn't tell them to. i'm the queen now.

on that day, lincoln was my guard, the only one.

"lincoln!" i whispered, he turned his head.

"yes?"

"i need you to help me get out of here."

he furrowed his eyebrows, "why would i do that? i did, they would kill me."

"but you don't have to stay with them."

he raised his eyebrows. "explain?"

"after you get me out of here, you can serve my kingdom. i'll make sure you are treated right, it's very welcoming there, trust me. just- please- help me."

he sighed. "sounds like a plan. i'll get you out of here." he opened the cell gate as quietly as he could. "we have to move quickly, lets go!"

we walked carefully on the path to our exit. lincoln lead the way, a bow in his hand, with an arrow strung onto it.

a guard walked in front of us, and before he could say a word, an arrow was through his head. the exit was right in front of us. we ran for it.

"i have two horses," lincoln breathed out, "you ride this one, i'll ride the other."

i nod, "thank you." he smiled and we took off.

we were free.
