3rd person POV

"I am Akagawa (red river) Harigae (Substitute), pleased to make your acquaintance." A girl with long dark red hair and alluring black eyes slightly bowed.

"Shuichi (disciplined) Tadao (loyal), I'm Riga-sama's body guard." A taller male with pure white hair and bright blue eyes lowered his head slightly.

A red haired male with heterochromatic orbs, refrained himself from leaving the classroom. He barely knew Akagawa, yet he wished to dispose of her. It didn't help that the teacher sat Akagawa next to him.

Of course, Shuichi took the seat behind her though. Akagawa politely but sternly smiled, "Akashi Seijuro-san, please do take care of me this school year." Her pitch black orbs stared into Akashi's and he began to analyze Akagawa.

Once he made eye contact, Akashi lost all focus and he began to tremble, "Is something the matter?" His eyes were on her rosy pink lips. Her voice taunted him, a sweet lullaby that calmed his mood but carved scars into his heart. Akashi shook it off, he only had her for three subjects and PE.

"Tadao, may I see your schedule?" Akagawa turned around in her seat. Without hesitation, Shuichi took it out and presented it to her. With a thanks, she scanned over it and memorized his schedule, the times, the classroom numbers, and his teachers.

"I'll be counting on you again this year, Tadao." Akagawa pushed a strand of her red locks behind her ear. With a small smirk, Shuichi returned the saying, "Likewise." Akashi couldn't help but steal a few glances.

In his blurry memories as a small child, he remembered faint features of his mother. Akagawa had it all. The red hair that seemed faded and dull yet held so much affection and assurances. With a glance, you could feel at peace, comfort but the feeling was temporary.

Akagawa had pitch black eyes, if there were no lights in the room you couldn't see her eyes. Her eyes were darker than the darkness itself. It gave a shroud of mystery to Akashi and his emperor eye always got lost in her eye's darkness.

Her voice said it all. Despite the faint memories, Akashi could clearly remember his mother's voice. Though now that he hears it from another person, he didn't know how to feel. The voice he learned to love, belonged to another now.

Akashi wanted to keep as much distance between them as possible.

"Akagawa-san, you're still a new transfer student but are you updated on where we are?" The teacher pushed up his glasses.

Shuichi spared a concerned glance towards his mistress, "Of course, I went through the material during study hall." the teacher slightly grinned at her response. Though he put on a serious expression, "In 4 weeks time, you must do a project on a topic that influenced our generation to be as it is and present it exactly on the 8th! I will not accept any late work, and if you fail to present it then it's an automatic 0." He spoke sternly.

"I will be pairing you all up, so there won't be any chance of any of you slacking."He began to write the names on the board.

RING!

"Riga-sama, you have gym next." Shuichi grabbed his books and Akagawa's bag.

The red haired female grabbed Shuichi's shoulder, "I appreciate the gesture Tadao, but I don't want to be too much of a burden." She tightened her grip on her bag's strap and the silver haired male obeyed. He gave her bag back, and began to walk out.

"See you in a few periods." With a small glimpse of his blue eyes, his figure faded from Akagawa's sight. Meanwhile, she sighed.

"Akashi Seijuro-san, do you need something from me?" She turned to face him. She felt his glare most of the class period, it made her feel uncomfortable.

Akashi groaned, "Stop talking peasant, you're hurting my ears." Akashi stood up and walked out of the classroom. A scowl present on his face, he didn't like how Akagawa sounded the same as his mother.

Akagawa watched Akashi leave, Akagawa ran her hand down her long red hair, "Does he hate me already?" She sighed.

First day in High school, and the first person she met hates her. Akagawa began to head towards her next period. She didn't want Akashi's unwelcoming behavior to get her down.

"U-uhm..."

"U-uhm...Akagawa-san."

Hearing a small voice, Akagawa turned her head and saw a long black haired girl with emerald green eyes. She was slightly shorter than Akagawa, and her black hair reached up to mid-back.

"Hmm... Sorry to be rude, but who are you again?" Akagawa smiled softly.

The girl's face splattered with red, "I-I'm Ayaha Yumi." Her quiet voice trembled. Akagawa rubbed her neck awkwardly. She didn't want another person to hate her on the first day.

"Nice to meet you Ayaha-san. Looking at what's in your hand, I'm assuming you're going to gym too?" Akagawa's black eyes looked at Ayaha's bag. It was a light green with yellow flowers and peeking on the top was the gym uniform.

Ayaha nodded her head softly, "U-Uhm... You can call me Yumi..." She shifted uncomfortably under Akagawa's glance.

"Of course, you may call me by my first name as well. Feel free to abbreviate my name however you want, Yumi-chan." Akagawa turned away and started walking towards the locker rooms.

She has spent enough time talking to Ayaha, if anymore of her time was stalled then she might be late. Akagawa had no intention of being tardy on her first day. She didn't mind that Ayaha silently followed behind though.

Ayaha never spoke up, barely talked, and kept conversations to a minimum. She, herself, didn't know why she suddenly had the urge to talk to Akagawa. No one would have believed that she spoke up first.

Akagawa was different. Ayaha wanted to be close to her and she had no idea why...
