3rd person POV

Choosing a classy restaurant nearby, Akashi had already scheduled a time and booked the whole floor. Of course being the extr-absolute emperor he was, Akashi got the highest floor to just him and Akagawa.

Akagawa didn't mind the fact that he went overboard but he sincerely took the fact of secrecy to a new level. She was worried at first because the meeting place was in the public but Akashi surprised her by having a secluded area.

"We don't have to worry about anyone listening in and disturbing. Here, I've already preordered the whole menu so we can just get the food ourselves." Akashi hinted that with no one serving, there wasn't anyone to hear.

"Moral wise, this doesn't seem like a smart thing to do. You and I in a secluded room with no one to hear what we're doing." Akagawa had her suspicions, after all she didn't trust Akashi 100%.

"Don't get me started on that foolishness. You disgust me, why would I make a move on someone as inferior as yourself?" Akashi sighed, loosening his tie due to his mini marathon earlier. He was still exhausted from running all the way from the company to where they were now.

Akagawa smiled, "Great, that puts me at ease." Akashi tched, but then paused. He didn't tch on purpose, so why did he naturally?..

"5 questions, don't mind about the rudeness nor how sensitive the question. If I were you, I'd specify because even as I speak-" Akagawa poured herself some sparkling water.

"I'd without a doubt, figure out a way to leave your question unanswered." Her eyes dimly glowed.

Akagawa didn't know this because she didn't blink but this certainly was becoming more common. Her godlike eyes were starting to be able to show even without her starting the timer. When it started, was usually around Akashi.

Akashi smirked, "If you do such a thing, I won't hesitate to put you in your place, peasant." In response, Akagawa scoffed.

"Getting straight to the point, How exactly did you get those eyes?" Akashi's emperor eye flashed. His eye was activated to make sure Akagawa wasn't lying.

Akagawa smirked, "My eyes were only a bonus, I got them from sacrifice and having required traits." Akashi raised a brow, she wasn't kidding. Her answers will be extremely simplified unless he's specific.

"It's fine! Like I said, I want you to see this world. Now, help me push open the door."

There was no turning back. The golden doors in front of Akagawa and Shuichi changed their lives forever.

Shuichi clung to Akagawa's shirt, "Hey, your mama said we should be home by 8. Let's get this over with soon." His small hands trembled.

Akagawa intertwined their fingers, "I know, Tadao." Her blue orbs scanned the cave, there she grabbed the nearest rock with her free hand and cut her thigh.

The cut wasn't too deep but the cut was enough to draw a lot of blood. Akagawa slightly pulled on Shuichi's arms. Her wound closed up immediately and the blood spill started to move and formed a trail. The crystals on the wall began to light up one after the other and Akagawa stepped back.

Taking another deep breath, she began walking forward. She decided on giving Shuichi sight and if she were to turn back now, Akagawa wouldn't be able to face him. Death would have been easier than the guilt.

Their path became unstable the further the two went down the cave. As if the cave was haunted, there were many creaks, droplets of water, pools of who knows what. Animals that Akagawa didn't know existed in that single cave, all of them chased Shuichi and Akagawa with death on their fangs and claws.

They could die on the way there.

As if the creature's unwelcoming behaviors weren't obvious enough, Shuichi was beginning to get dizzy. His head would throb like no tomorrow, and his body would go completely numb from a few seconds up to an hour.

Though for Akagawa, since it was her blood that was spilt at the entrance, she suffered much more than Shuichi. There were times were her throat felt closed and made her cough blood, her body would have the sensation of being burned alive, her eyes stung from the atmosphere, her limbs were getting weaker the farther they went, and there were times were she'd get unexplainable pain causing her to scream in agony.

Many times, her screams were accompanied with Shuichi's cries of wanting to go back. Akagawa sounded like she was in so much pain it made Shuichi's heart clench tightly.

The trip there, the sensation of dying and healing never ended. Akagawa felt as if every cell in her body would explode but the strange atmosphere would heal it back up again. The pain was constant. She'd even lose all feeling in a limb or body part for a long period of time. She lost count of how long it's been.

It was even worse due to the many creatures chasing after them and when the symptoms would occur, she felt so helpless and the burden of a limp limb had her in tears. When a body part would stop working, it felt as if the part wasn't there and instead, the joints closest to the numbed part would have gained 10x the weight from before.

"What are your connections to the Emperor of the government?" He asked the second question.

Akagawa sighed, she hoped that he would just say emperor so she could just say that she is acquaintances. After all, she and Akashi are only classmates.

"He is my Uncle." Akagawa hated how her words easily slid out of her mouth. Her life was so much more complicated than just 4 words.

"Where were you before you came to Japan?"

Akagawa paused, "I don't know." Akashi looked her in the eye and saw the uncertainty and compacted complications she held. He took a deep breath and just decided to deal with that answer.

"Then, is Akagawa Harigae your real name?" He needed this question answered the most. No matter what data base he used, she wouldn't pop up.

"Yes." Akagawa didn't want to go too far into details. How many questions has he asked? She just wanted this to end.

"Why is it that all information about you isn't found and not even a single document is visible?" Akashi asked his last question.

"Because I'm not supposed to be alive."
