🎶I'm not coming back
I've done something so terrible
And Terrified to speak
But you'd expect that from me
I'm mixed up
I'll be blunt
Now the rain is just washing you out of my hair
And out of my mind
Keeping an eye on the world
From so many thousands of feet off the ground
I'm over you now
I'm at home in the clouds
Towering over your hair🎶

"I'm leaving Karim, see you in a few!!" MGK calls out to his girlfriend of a year.

Just before he leaves, she walks into the room.

"Colson, where are you going? You promised three days ago that we'd go out together!"

"You told me last night that you didn't want to!"

"I don't think you care about this relationship at all!"

"I don't care? For all our lives, I didn't care whenever I helped you when you were down?"

"I'm just asking for a little something!"

"Something?!?!? I gave you everything!!! You know what? Everyone has their breaking point, you've officially helped me find mine!!! I'm done!!! I'm going out to party. Call me when you get over this bitchy spell!!!" He said as he left, slamming the door behind him.

Karim stood there, stunned by what he just said.

Oh, I'm the bitchy one?? I'll show him bitchy. She thought while she stormed upstairs to their bedroom.

She then proceeded to throw all of his things into a suitcase.

All of these emotions started to take a toll on her.

She walked to their bathroom and locked the door, then she grabbed her shiny reliable best friend and got into the tub.

(Two Hours Later)

MGK hadn't had much to drink, being that he had a gut feeling that something was wrong.

Sure, he said he wanted to come party. But, he began to regret some things he had said.

He called a taxi, since he started to feel a little buzzed and wanted to be safe than sorry.

When the cab pulled up to his house, he got out and paid the driver.

As the driver pulled away, the sinking feeling suddenly felt worse.

He clutched the small box he had in his pocket, as if it were his last shred of humanity.

He walked up to the door and unlocked it, disturbed that the lights were still on and Karim nowhere to be found on the first floor.

As he walked up the stairs, the feeling got heavier and heavier.

Once in the bedroom, he noticed that his stuff was scattered about and still no Karim.

He walked to the bathroom and tried to turn the knob, but it was locked.

"Karim, baby. I'm sorry. Will you please open the door?" He called out.

No answer.

"Karim?"

Still no answer.

The sinking feeling now felt like a bomb going off as MGK tried to kick the door down.

When he finally managed to enter the room, his heart fell to the floor.

Karim was laying in the tub, with long lateral cuts going up and down her arms.

"KARIM, BABY!!"

He checked for a pulse to find it extremely faint. But at least it was a pulse!!!

He immediately searched for his phone in his pockets, but to no avail.

He ran downstairs and dialed 911 and explained the situation to the operator.

When help arrived, he showed them the way.

They loaded her onto the gurney and into the back of the ambulance.

(One Hour Later)

MGK sat in the hospital's waiting area, clutching and staring at the black diamond engagement ring.

Karim was immediately rushed into surgery upon her arrival at the hospital, but no one had updated MGK on progress.

Another half hour goes by, and finally a nurse comes out of the double doors.

"Karim?" She calls out.

He walked to her and noticed she had that look people have when they're about to tell someone not so good news.

"Dr. Olbreight was able to sew the cuts up, but unfortunately her body was too weak and gave out. She died at 7:36 P.M. I'm so sorry for your loss."

If only I had stayed home with her. I wish I hadn't said those things I did. Karim, I'm sorry. I should've proposed when I had the chance and not be such a self-absorbed asshole!

All of these thoughts crowded his mind as he slid down the hallway wall.

She's gone and it was all my fault! I'm so stupid!!

He was interrupted from his phone vibrating, which he found on the table by the front door.

Rook: Hey, man! How are things going with Karim?

"Uh, um, fucking horrible." MGK said, sniffling.

Why? What happened?

"She's gone, Rook."

Well, maybe she'll come back. She always does.

"No, Rook. She's gone, gone. She committed suicide tonight!!!" His tears were coming down even harder.

Oh, man! I'm sorry to hear that. Have you told Cass?

He hadn't thought about how his daughter would take it, so he hung up with Rook and dialed his ex-girlfriend's number.

Daddy!! He heard Cass squeal over the phone.

"Hey, princess. Is Mommy around?"

Seconds later, the voice of his ex appeared.

Hey, Colson.

Sniffling, he proceeded to tell her what had happened.

How do we tell Casie?

"Let me do it. Put her back on the phone."

Hey, Daddy!!!

"Hey, baby girl. Daddy has to tell you something that you're not going to like. Will you be a big girl for me?"

Ok, Daddy. What's wrong?

MGK could hear the little girl sniffling.

"Something happened to Karim and she's not going to be with us anymore."

Where'd she go?

"Sweetie, she died. She's up in heaven with KitKit. Remember KitKit."

Colson? It's me. I'm going to put Cass to bed and you can call me tomorrow.

The call ended.

Before Cassidy was born, MGK and Cass' mom adopted an English Bulldog, named Kitten.

After Cass was born, and old enough to talk, she had called Kitten, KitKit.

When Casie was three, MGK had to put Kitten down due to a tumor that was causing excruciatingly painful seizures.

Now all that's left for MGK is his daughter.
