Kailie was sitting on her couch when her phone starts to ring.

It was her boyfriend, Derek Discanio.

"Hey, Derek. What's up?"

I don't feel good. Can you come and take care of me, Kailie?

"Yeah. Give me ten minutes."

She hung up and got ready.

Ten minutes later when she got to his house, she grabbed the spare key.

She wandered into his house until she found him on the couch.

"You look like shit, Derek." She said, while searching for a thermometer.

"I feel like I have a cold, but my whole body aches, I have the chills, and I'm too tired to move." He told her.

She returned with the object in hand.

"Open your mouth, and put this under your tongue."

Their eyes never left each other's.

Seconds later, the thermometer beeped.

102 Degrees

"Damn."

"What?" Derek asks.

"You have a fever and with your symptoms, I'm afraid it's the Flu."

"You know what would help me feel better?"

"What?"

"Cuddles."

"I don't wanna get sick."

Derek gave her the pitiful puppy dog look.

"You're lucky you're hot. No pun intended."

She gave him some Flu medicine and sat beside him.

"Why did you fall for me?" Derek asks.

"1) You're very talented. 2) You're passionate about what you do. 3) You have an amazing personality. Why do you ask?"

"Sometimes I feel like you deserve someone better than me."

"Derek Discanio!!! You are all I need. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. I know you've been hurt in the past, but I will never hurt you. If I do, that's when I'll stop loving you. But I won't hurt you!!" She said, then she have him a kiss.

She just wishes he would feel like the man she sees.
