**REQUESTED** A Drop In The Ocean (Part One) [MGK/OM&M]

This chapter and It's Not Over is going to be a two parter for my friend im_Asher because they both involve MGK. And im_Asher , I don't know if you've heard of  Ron Pope or Daughtry, but these are the closest songs (I think!!) I could find on my iPod that I could sort of tie together. Hope you enjoy!!! First day of Warped Tour.

That's all of what's going through Karim's mind, except for the fact that she'll be the merch girl for her friend Alan's band: Of Mice & Men.

"Hey, K! After our set, I'll have Aaron, Phil, Tino or Austin take over and we'll go check out some other bands together." Alan called from the front lounge as you were getting changed in the back.

"Ok, Alan. Hey, if we make it, do you think we could check out MGK's set first?" You asked.

"Sure. See you then!" He said as he and the guys left for sound check.

What Alan and the guys don't know is that you knew MGK before you met OM&M. You knew him before he made it big. You knew him as just Colson Baker. Not MGK, big hot-shot superstar. You were even there to congratulate him on becoming a dad. His daughter, Cassidy, is now eight and adored you. When her mom went on tour for a couple of weeks with MGK, Cass would stay with you because of school. The little girl didn't mind because you would have tea parties and play dress up when not doing homework. You would even play barbies with her. When her mom and MGK broke up, she called you crying. Sometimes, you wondered what it would be like dating her father.

Alan and the guys didn't even know you kept in touch with MGK.

When MGK stared in his first movie, Beyond The Lights, you were first in line to get tickets.

Then you met Alan and the guys of OM&M. You became friends, and neighbors. Even though you lived by OM&M, you always had time to text MGK.

When you saw that he was going to be in a new movie called Nerve you called him to congratulate him and he invited you as his date to the premiere in his hometown. Alan didn't know because the band was touring overseas.

But it had been five months since you last had contact with MGK, but you still held on to hope that you were friends.

(Two and a half hours later)

Aaron and Alan came running to you after taking showers.

"Hey, Kar! Let Aaron take over, because we need to leave now if we want to catch MGK's set. He's on the Kia Soul stage, but it's on the other side of the parking lot." Alan said, as he grabbed your wrist.

"Was Austin tired afterwards?" You asked Alan as you both walked to the stage.

"Yeah, so I asked Aaron if he wanted to take over for you while Austin stayed on the bus with Tino & Phil."

By the time you got to the stage, his intro was starting. You and Alan got as close to the stage as you could.

He started off with 'Til I Die. During it, he spotted you and smiled.
