chapter 10 Kat’s POV
“Jade I found a staircase!”
I found the first step in the dark and tripped over the second. Luckily I caught myself with my hands. I felt something sticky under my palm and looked. It was a sheet of rubber. Huh.
When I reached the top I was glad I had picked up the rubber. It was for opening the door, which had no inner knob.
“hurry up!” Jade whispered from behind me.
“I am!” I yell/whispered back.
Finally the door came open and I stepped through into… My art room? It couldn’t be! I had used this room more often than anyone else in the whole house but I never notice that behind my paint shelf was a door!? not possible.
“Kat is this your…”
Jade trailed off as I gave a look that said ‘yes but I have nooo idea’
“You know what?” Suddenly a thought came to mind
“What?” Jade asked cautiously.
“We need to make Hunter travel through that passage, and I think it will be easier than we think.”
