Chapter 18 Kat’s POV
“You know she is only trying to keep us alive?” Hunter said once she had left the room.
“Yes, but I don’t know if the antidote will work if we wait too long”
Hunter approached me and I backed up. He put his hands on the wall above my shoulder and leaned in.
“Get away from me! Just because I saved you doesn’t mean I like you!”
“Honey, why are you and Jade not falling at my feet like other girls?”
“Don’t call me ‘honey’ and because we don’t go for players”
“Oh my, is my rep really that bad?” He leaned into me as he said this and his breath went down my neck.
I shivered he smirked. I took that opportunity to slide out under his arm and walk to the middle of the room.
He looked over at me and smirked again, then walked past me and leaned into the door, making sure I couldn't get out.
