Chapter 3 (Leave Me Alone)

I was finish getting presents and food. I had got Carter a race track and a couple cars for it, I got James and his dad a watch. James got a Silver watch, and Grant got Gold one, and I got his mum a sliver necklace that says 'love' and then I bought some wrapping paper. I wish I was able to get the other kids of Grants and Tracy something but I didnt have much money because stuff was so expensive and they have at least 5 kids. I know a lot.

I was able to go to the store and pick up some food like steak, lunchables and some snacks. After shopping I was carrying about four bags in my hand. I look at the time on my watch my mum got me when I was younger, it still could fit. 7:05pm. The bus should be here at 7:30. I sat down on the bench close to where the bus stop is and sat the bag down in front of me.

I was watching as the cars go pass, and families walking pass. I smiled as they walk pass wishing I had that. Its been awhile since I had that. The weather wasnt that bad but it was pretty cold and I only had a small jacket on. I looked up seeing a lady standing in front of me. She looks to be in her mid 40s maybe.

"Are you here alone?" she asked.

I shook my head. "Im here with my uh.. Mum which I don't think that's none of your business." I said.

"Okay, Okay. Well." she said as she dig in her purse. "Well when you're 'mum' comes out gives this to here." she said handing me 200 dollars and winks at me walking away. I guess Christmas does put people in a good mood.

I wanted to say thank you, but next thing I knew she was already gone.

After a few minutes a black car pulls up on the side in front of me, I didn't want to stare so I looked around when I heard the car door open and a teenager boy get out the car.

"Hey you need a ride?" he asked. Was he talking to me? I look around and notice i'm the only one around. Yes he's talking to me.

"um no, I'm good. Thanks though." I said.

"you having someone pick you up?" He asked.

"Yeah, my mum." I said.

"Then why you standing at a bus stop?" He points to the sign.

"You shouldn't be riding the bus, I can take you home if you want I don't mind" he smirks. Great one of those guys who think they can get anyone or anything they want i'm guessing.

"I'm fine, thanks."

"Where is your parents? they shouldn't be having you walk around this late at night." he said.

"Its 7:10pm." I replied.

"Exactly" he said. "Come on just let me drop you off at home." he smiled moving closer to me.

"No get away from me!" I screamed getting up.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I promise" he said and I back up a little more.

"Leave me alone! j-just go!" I said. He nodded giving me a soft smile then walks back into his car and drives away, then I let out a deep breath that I didn't know I was holding.

Flashback:

"Stop! Stop! I'm sorry!" I cried out. He was sitting on top of me unbuttoning my shirt as he whispers in my ear.

"calm down baby, its okay I promise I'm going to be nice and slow." His warm breath tickled my ear.

"mum! " I screamed.

"your mum isn't here right now." He said as he removes my pants.

I kicked and scream as hard as I can. "Stop now!" he said slapping me hard. "Shut up now and calm down, your mum not here to save you. Apparently your mum doesn't care about you if she left you here with me." he said.

"She does care about me"

End of flashback.

The bus finally showed up, I paid and got on sitting in the front seat. After about 30 minutes I was finally home, I put my stuff away in my room then walks to James house to pick up Carter.

I knock on the door twice and the door opens.

"Oh hello Gabriella!" James mum pulled me into a tight hug.

"Hi, Mrs. Chancellor" she smiles.

"How are you?" she asked.

"I'm fine, thank you. And sorry I'm late."

"Oh honey don't worry about it." she said.

"Alex go sit down and stop running around!" she said yelling at one of the kids. He was about 10 years old and was very hyper.

Carter came into site and walking out toward me.

"See you guys tomorrow for Christmas, yeah?" She asked and I nodded and say my goodbye to her.

"Did you have fun?" I asked Carter as we walked.

He shrugs. "It was okay." I smiled softly.

"Did you have fun?" He asked.

I laugh softly. "Not really. But its okay."

We finally arrive at the house, I unlock it and walk in. "Did you eat?" I asked he nodded and I said okay. He walks to his room and I shut the door behind me, locking it looking out making sure no one outside then went straight to my room to wrap up presents.

after awhile of wrapping I was finally finished and put the presents under the tree. I turn the Christmas light on and look at the tree.

"Some Christmas." I said quietly to myself.

I walk to Carter room opening the door seeing him watching TV. "How are you doing bubba?" I walk in sitting down on the edge of his bed.

"Good." he said and I nodded and smiles softly.

"Do you know when mum will be home?" He asked. His big brown eyes just warmed my heart. I can't keep saying soon because it won't happen, She's not coming back.

"I don't know." I said simply rubbing my fingers through his hair not knowing what else to say.

"You should get some rest, it's Christmas tomorrow and you have presents." I smiled and I see his lips move up to form a smile.

"Really?" He smiled

"Yes really, now sleep." I giggle walking out the door leaving it crack going to my room and lays down. Next thing I know I'm fast asleep.
