Chapter 24 (Back Again)

"Hello?"

I heard someone talking, sounded like Liam I think maybe he was on the phone.

"Yeah, she's safe." He said quietly, I open an eye and looked at him, then close it back to pretend I was asleep. I guess I fell asleep on the couch and didn't realize it.

"She's, fine. Look she's fine and safe don't worry." He said. "Christina, I know. I will try and bring her back but I can't force her, I won't." He said.

Christina? I was kind of confused. How did he know Christina? Unless she told who she was. But why was he not forcing me to go back, why is he helping me? Why does he even care about me? So many questions run through my head.

"Yes I know, now I got to go." He said and hangs up. I open my eyes and sit up stretching.

"Who was that?" I asked trying to act like I didn't hear anything and he shrugs.

"Just a friend." He said and I knew he was lying and I just nodded.

"You are not taking me back there.. are you?" I asked and he sits by me and looks in my eyes.

"You heard?" I nodded.

"Don't worry about it.. I'm guessing you slept well, it's 6am in the morning."

"6am? 6am and you didn't even wake me up!?" I spat.

"You was sleeping so peacefully, I didn't want to wake you up." He said and I nodded slowly.

"Well, thank you."

"Wanna get something to eat?" I shake my head.

"No, I'm fine."

"Well you haven't ate all day, you sure you don't want to get anything?"

"I'm fine, you can get something to eat though." I smiled softly looking straight ahead.

"Don't you want to come?" He asked.

"No I'll be fine. Go get something to eat." I said.

"Are you sure, I don't want to leave you-"

"Liam, I'll be fine this is my house." I said softy and he nodded.

"Okay, I'll be back, make sure you lock the door." He said and I nodded handing him the key then he walks out and I locked the door behind him.

I sigh heavy and walked back into Carter room and sat on his bed.

"Please be safe Carter." I said looking over at the picture frame of me and him smiling.

"You always look so beautiful." He said softly as he kisses against my neck, he slowly cups my breast with his bare hand kissing slowly down my chest.

"Calm down baby, I love you I won't hurt you. " he said as I start to kick and try to move my hand but he grabs my hands quickly.

"stop!" He said firmly.

"Mum! Help please!" I screamed.

"I said shut up you spoiled brat!" He yelled as he moved his hand to my neck and squeezes my neck and I gasp for arm.

"Mum!" I scream, kicking still gasping for air.

"Shut up! Your mum won't protect you." He said squeezing as hard as he can.

I gasp trying to catch my breath but his hands where to strong.

"Mum" I try my best to scream but it wouldn't come out, his grip was getting tighter.

"Gabriella! Wake up!" I heard. I open up my eyes fast and sit up breathing heavy wiping the sweat off my face.

Liam felt my forehead. "Your burning up." He said looking at me."what happen?" He asked. I looked around and realizing it was just a dream.

"N-nothing. I'm fine." I said quietly.

"You were having a nightmare wasn't you?" He asked.

"It's nothing I'm fine." I said as I got up.

"Gabriella."

"What?" I said looking down at him as he was sitting on my bed.

"Someone was here." He said.

"W-what do you mean?"

"Someone was here, the door was left open when I came, I was going to go look around but then I heard you scream and I came to check on you." He said. I started to breath heavy again, what is happening. What is going on.

"We have to go." He said and I nodded not arguing but we do have to get out of here.

"Come on." He stand up and wraps an arm around me and leads me out Carter room and outside. He shut the door and lock it handing me back the keys.

We got in the truck and he starts the truck up and backs out the driveway and drives off.

"I got you some crisps if you want." He said handing me a bag.

"Thank you." I said softly. He nods and smiles softly and keeps driving.

"Can we go by Hannah house?" I asked and he nods.

After a few minutes of driving we pull in the driveway.

"Do you want me to come?" He asked and I nodded. I just needed someone at my side at a time like this.

He nods as we get out the car and walk up to the door. I breath in and let it out and knocks on the door. After a few minutes the door opens.

"Oh Gabriella, yes?" The lady ask that I came in contact with before.

"I'm here to see my brother."

"Sweetie, they won't be back for awhile." She said.

"Can you please, please tell me where they are? I have to know it's an emergency" I pleaded.

"I'm sorry, I can't help." She said and shuts the door in my face.

"Let me in!" I scream banging on the door. "Where is my brother! I want to see my brother." I banged harder.

"Gabriella come on. Let's go." He said softly.

"No! She knows where my brother is! And I deserve to know he's my brother he's my fucking brother!" I screamed banging on the door and kicking it hard.

Liam grabbed me by the waist and picks me up walking down the stairs. I kicked and screamed as loud as hard as I can but he won't budge.

"Gabriella calm down, please we will figure this out, you just need time. Okay? We will find him and we will get him back." He said.

I finally calmed down after a few minutes, he opens the door for me an I climbed in the car resting my head in my hand. I don't know how much more I can take of this.
