Chapter 33 (First Day Again)

Maybe it wasn't my mum, maybe it was someone she hanged around with or something. I don't know, but as much as I try to come up with an excuse for it I still think that could be her.

"Gabriella?" Liam said taking me out of my thought.

"You ready to go?" He asked and I nodded. He smiles and I smile back softly and stands up walking behind him.

"Well thanks, I had fun tonight." I said to Liam as I open up the door.

"I had fun too. See you at school yea?" He asked an I nodded.

I get out the car, shut the door behind me waved at him and walked up to the house and opens the door walking in.

I shut the door behind me and looked at the time, seeing it was 8:01pm. I walk in the living room and see Johannah sitting down watching tv.

"I'm so sorry I'm late, kind of lost track of time." I sign.

"It's fine sweetie, you're not that late anyways." She gives me a warm smile. "Come sit." She said turning off the tv and I nodded walking over to her and sits down.

"So.. Um I got a call about your mother." She said clearing her throat.

"She's dead?" I asked.

"No, no sweetie. Umm well not that we know of. I got a call from the police station your mother could have been in involved with a killing but no evidence yet." She said.

"Oh." Was all I could make out. "Does Carter know about this?" I asked

She shakes her head. "No I wasn't going to tell him until we know more. I thought we could just keep this between me and you for now, yeah?" She asked and I nodded slowly.

"Now, go get some rest for tomorrow you got school." She smiles and I smile back getting up walking to my room.

6:30am

Why am I up so early? I thought to myself. Well since I'm up anyways mind as well get ready. I got up grabbed a pair of skinny jeans, a tank top and a my hoodie I wear a lot. I walk to the bathroom, doing my usual routine. Brush teeth, wash face, shower and fix my hair. I decided to let my hair be in it's natural waves for today.

When I finish I walked out the bathroom walking toward my room but I get stopped by louis.

"Wow you're up early." He said.

"Same to you." I replied.

He chuckles and I laugh. "Aren't you excited to start back school!" He says sarcastically with a big cheesy smile on his face and I can't help but laugh.

"I mean sure I guess I don't know, gives me something to do, you know?" He nods.

"This time you will seat with us." He said, not asking but telling me and I roll my eyes.

"Yeah yeah yeah." I said.

"I told the others you were coming back, they were excited. Zayn and Harry said they miss your sassiness"

"That's cool I guess." I shrug.

"Oh great you guys are up." Johannah said walking towards us.

"Can one of you please get Carter up while I make breakfast?" She asked and I nodded. She gives me a small smile then walks away.

"Your mum is so sweet." I said and he nods.

"I know." He smiled.
