Moving In

Rachel's POV

     We were finally back in Lima. I wasn't sure if I was happy or upset. It was good to be home but New York was where I wanted to be. It's where I wanted to live and start a family with Finn. But, for the time being, I'll settle for Ohio.
     Once we dropped Kurt and Quinn off at their houses, Finn and I headed to his place. I preferred being with him than being alone at my house.
     When we got to the house, we took hands and walked up to his room. On the way up, we talked about how much fun we'd had and all the stories we would have to tell once school was back.
     He opened his bedroom door and flopped on his bed, face first. I laughed and flopped on the bed with him. I snuggled up to him and he took my hands.
     "This is nice," I said. He kissed my head and said, "Yeah, it is."
     "You know, I don't know how I'm going to go back to my house without you. I loved being in the same apartment with you. It gave me a glimpse of what it will be like when we're living together."
     I looked up at him and he looked like he was thinking really hard. Then he looked at me and asked,
     "Well, why don't you just move in here?"
     "Finn, I'd like to, but I don't want to inconvenience your parents. I mean, the last thing they would want is another person in the house."
     Finn sat up. He pulled me up to a sitting position.
     "Rachel, it's no inconvenience at all. My parents love you and so do I. I can't stand thinking about you being all alone in that house. And so many bad things have happened in there. I want you to start fresh in a different house filled with people who love you."
     I was so happy, I was starting to tear up.
     "Are you sure?" I asked, making sure this wasn't to good to be true.
     "Positive," he said, gripping my hands.
     "Ok," I sniffed. "Ok, I'll move in with you."
     I hugged him and he fell backwards on the bed. He laughed and kissed my cheek. We stayed there in each other's arms, knowing there's no better place we'd rather be.
