Ella was as amazed when they went through the door. Looking ahead she saw Newt with his wand pointed at the gray sky above him. There was a rumble of thunder and a loud screech. Looking towards the darkening clouds Ella saw something she hadn't seen in a long time, a Thunderbird, magnificent wings spread far as it hovered in the sky. She gasped and edged closer to Newt. The storm ceased as the giant bird approached.

"Down you come, come on." Newt persuaded the Thunderbird to land. It perched on a large rock. Newt held something by his side. The bird screeched in delight as Newt approached it. Reaching out Newt stroked the giant bird's head.

"Thank god you didn't get out, that would have been quite catastrophic." Newt said quietly to the creature. Newt seemed to be good with all creatures, Ella noticed with a soft smile.

"He's the real reason I came to America," Newt said looking back at them, then back to the Thunderbird. "To bring Frank home." Newt whispered more to the bird then to Ella or Jacob. Jacob tried to get closer but the bird screeched and pawed at the rock in warning.

"Stay back, He's a bit sensitive to strangers." Newt warned Jacob. Jacob stumbled back.

"He was trafficked you see, I found him in Egypt all chained up. I just couldn't leave him there.I had to bring him home, to the wilds of Arizona." Newt said looking at the Thunderbird with admiration.

The bird squawked and Newt backed up before throwing something into the sky. The bird launched off the rock and flew back up to its perch in the sky carrying what Newt had thrown to it. Newt sighed happily. Then turning around he cupped his mouth and made a noise that Ella assumed to be some sort of calling to another animal. He hopped off the platform he was on and walked off. Ella eagerly followed him while looking around at the many smaller creatures that wondered around her.

"Alright, here they come." Newt said smiling. He was enjoying this very much. There was a rumble from in the distance.

"Here what comes?" Jacob asked shakily.

"Graphorns." Ella said as she watched the huge animals lumber in. One of the bigger ones came up to Newt and wrapped its tentacles around his shoulders in almost a hug. A smaller one came up to Ella and smelt her before reaching out to her too.

"They're the last breeding pair in existence. If I hadn't rescued them, that could have been the last Graphorns in existence. " Newt explained. Looking up Ella saw a larger one and another smaller one climb onto a slab of rock. Tossing a piece of meat out the smaller Graphorns went after it. Newt moved away from the Graphorns to let them eat. Ella followed him through a cave like habitat than a forest like habitat. Newt brought his bowtruckle out of his vest where it was hiding.

"He had a cold and needed some body warmth." Newt explained as he brought the creature close to a tree with other bowtruckles on it.

"Alright, on you hop." Newt tried to get the bowtruckle to join the others but it refused. Jacob scoffed.

"He has some attachment issues." Newt explained as the bowtruckle stepped backward. "Pickett, no they're not going to bully you now come on."

Newt said pushing his hand towards the tree. Pickett slipped and held onto Newt's forefinger.

"Alright. And that is exactly why they accuse me of favoritism." Newt said sighing.

"I have the same problem with my thestrals." Ella told him. He turned to her.

"You have thestrals?" Newt asked. Ella nodded.

"How did you get them?" He asked curiously.

"That is a long story for another time." Ella told Newt with a cheeky smile. There were chirps coming from a bamboo nest just across from them.

"Alright, Alright, I'm coming." Newt said walking closer to the nest. Inside were many snake-like creatures, adorned with shimmery feathers. "Let me take a look at you." Newt said picking up one of the creatures. The creature curled around his hand.

"Do you want to hold him?" Newt asked Jacob who stood there mesmerized by the creatures. Jacob nodded and Newt passed one over to him. Jacob reached forward to pet it but it nipped at his finger.

"Don't pet them they like to learn to defend themselves early." Newt explained. As Jacob handed back the creature, Ella looked around. An ice cold breeze drifted for the north side. It seemed rather unusual. She frowned and walked closer to it. Pushing aside a leather flap, Ella walked into the tent. She froze. A swirling ball of dark matter was encased in a bubble. Something inside Ella writhed as she approached the dark matter. It was a reaction that she hadn't felt in years. She let it start to take over. Black matter, like the grainy material encased started to dribble from her fingertips.

"Y-You..." Jacob stuttered from behind her. All the dark matter disappeared as Ella whirled around to face the person. Shit. She thought. It was Jacob and he had witnessed the whole thing. Ella immediately pulled out her wand threateningly.

"You can not tell anyone about what you saw and if you do I will personally track you down." Ella hissed. She couldn't let her secret out. Jacob was trembling under her gaze and nodded in terror. Putting her wand away she nodded, mentally cursing herself for being so care free. She looked back at the ball of dark energy.

"Step away." A voice said sharply from behind Ella and she took a couple steps back.

"What is that?" Jacob asked.

"It's a obscurus." Newt explained, pausing for a second before speaking again. "I need to get going. I'm sure Ella can tell you more, she is studying them after all." Newt said walking out of the enclosure. Ella and Jacob followed him out.

"I need to get my creatures before they get hurt." Newt said concerned.

"Before they get hurt?" Jacob scoffed.

"Yes Mr.Kowalski, they are in an alien terrain surrounded by the most visious creatures of all....Humans." Newt explained. He deeply cared for his creatures and it showed.

They all stopped at a broken African habitat.

"Where would a medium sized creature that likes broad open plans, trees, Water holes, that sort of things, where would it might go?" Newt asked turning to the muggle.
