Maya POV
im so nervous about tonight...i finally get to play my song. Everyone at school is suppose to be there.
Lucas is gonna be there and my song...well its about him.
"Maya?! You ready?" Sarah said walking into my room.
"Sarah!Your not suppose to be here! Why didnt you just come through the window?"
"Hey M its okay i made sure your step dad left before i walked in."
I signed with relief, "sorry i freaked...can we just go?"
"Yeah lets get this star to her big day!" We laughed
Then the front door swung opened.
"Sarah.. Window now GO!" i said pushing us out the window before my step father could see us.
We ran and ran until we were near the subway station. Sarah looked scared and was shaking.
"Hey Sarah! It OK! We are in the clear for now...I'll never let him near you okay!"
She nodded, "Maya!"
"Yea?"
"Are you okay?"
"I always am..." i bit my lip trying not to cry. "Lets go... I dont want to be late."
She nodded and we walked side by side to the subway.
The concert: still Maya POV
"I can't do this!" i said walking away from the curtain.
"Maya you got this just...just sing what you feel." Max said standing in front of me holding me back.
"Ok" i whispered. "I got this!" and with that i waited for them to call me name.
Lucas POV
I walked into the school theater and sat not far from the stage since it was my class performance.
"LUCAS!" Riley yelled from the other side of the room.
I waved to her and walked slowly towards her.
"Hey Riles"
"Hi babe!" Riley said giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Lets sit down i think they're about to start." She nodded and we sat down.
The show went on and i have to say most of these people were actually good. No one hasnt got the second choice song yet which is kind of bad since we are trying to get the scholarships.
"Okay Everyone! We have one last performance and i have to say she is probably gonna be the best!" Principal Mattews said.
Yea you heard me! Riley's dad is our school principal.
"Now without further a-do....Maya Hart!"
Wait what? Did he just say Maya is performing.
