Third person

After staying at Sarah's for a while, Lucas and Maya headed back to his place. Lucas was worried about Maya because he knows seeing what Sarah and Cj went through, brought back some unwanted memories. Maya on the another hand was worried about if this could happen to her.

What if he finds me? Or my mom? What will happen?

Thats what ran through her mind as they pulled up to Lucas's house. They approach the door.

"Maya...try not to worry okay." Lucas says taking her hand.

"I know...just its a lot." he kissed her head and they walked inside.

Night came and Maya didnt feel tired or hungry. She just layed in bed staring at the ceiling. Lucas layed nexted to her and watched as she breathed. Wondering how she could be so strong, or why she had to endure all this pain.

She still had nightmares and cried at night. Lucas was alway there to comfort her. Seeing her stare blankly at the ceiling made him worry even more.

"Hey..." he whispered causing her to turn and face him.

She rested her head in her hand, "Hi..."

"What are you thinking about?"

"Pretty much everything." she laughed alittle, "i guess im just scared..." she started drawing circles on the bed. "What if he comes back?" her voice cracked.

Lucas immediately sat up, "Maya, he wont! I wont let him anywhere near you..."

"He could find my mom or try to hurt Riley..or YOU!" she stood off the bed. Lucas just stared at her, "Im AFRAID! Okay! Im so scared he's gonna..."then she broke.

"Maya..." he tried to comfort her.

"No!" she backed away from him. "Dont..." She watched as his face turned to hurt and worry. "Im sorry...im so sorry i didnt-"

"Its okay Maya." then he hugged her. She cried into his chest for hours.

Even though Lucas was hurt by Maya's outburst he understood. He just wants to love her but its not easy loving someone whos broken.

Next Day: Maya Pov

When i woke up this morning, Lucas was gone. The bed was empty...i guess he left this morning. I dragged myself out of bed and walked down stairs to the kitchen.

Nope No Lucas

I saw a note on the counter. It was from Lucas.

Had to meet the guys

See you later Maya

"Goodmorning to you too Huckleberry." i mumbled throwing the note away. I grabe my phone and Called Riley.
