Four moons, TigerKit was four moons old now. He could not wait to become an apprentice and hoped one of his good friends would be his mentor. Not only was he impatient but so was his sister, RavenKit. They would constantly bounce around and play warrior, hunt moss or chase cats tails, sometimes they would even ask FoxStar, FeatherMoon or other warriors to teach them some skills. Oh how they could not wait to become apprentices and defend their clan. But alas that would never come about for one of them.

TigerKit leaped and landed on the moss. He threw it up in the air then fell onto his back and repeatedly kicked at it.
"Alright my turn!" RavenKit snatched the moss and ran off leaving TigerKit in her dust. She hid behind the leg of a near by warrior and laughed. TigerKit got up and ran towards her. Just when he came with in a tail-length of the cat something grabbed his scruff and pulled him backwards.
"Hey!" He protsted as he wriggled out of the cats grasp. He spun around to see FoxStar with an evil smirk spread across her face. When the other cat laughed a wave of joy came over him. During this play session TigerKit had not realized that it was his father; BlueFang that his sister was hiding behind. BlueFang then stepped to the side exposing RavenKit. RavenKit gave a nervous smile. TigerKit then launched at her sending both of them tumbling and causing a cloud of dust to erupt from the ground. He pinned his sister down and snatched the moss back. When he let her get up she stuck her tongue out playfully. He smiled and bumped her shoulder with his. Both their father and FoxStar laughed. Only a couple heartbeats past when a warrior ran into the camp yowling. FoxStar ran up to them and began asking questions. Cats began gathering around the warrior mumbling nervously. TigerKit stuck close to his sister in the croud.
"What do you think it is?" RavenKit wispered, fear creeping into her voice. Shrugging, TigerKit strained his ears trying to get in on the conversation. It was no use. A shadow drifted over TigerKit and as he looked up to see what had caused it the cats around them scattered into the dens screaming. TigerKit knew why. An eagle was circling above them crying out every no and then. TigerKit froze staring wide-eyed at the bird of prey. RavenKit began calling out to him but her voice was but a rustle in the trees. The eagle tucked in it's wing and began a rapid decent right toward TigerKit. RavenKit pleaded her brother to move, she pushed him, pulled at him but nothing seamed to help he was still unmoving as his death drew near. The eagle was close and TigerKit could hear his heart pound in his ears. He braced for death.
