Chapter 19

"I'm ready to go" Josh whispered in my ear.

"Me too he will not stop talking! F-M-L!" he chuckled. We were in class and were suppose to get out about 15 minutes ago but, Professor just kept talking. We were supposed to be meeting Stephanie and Trent after but I kind of didn't want to, because I hadn't really seen them since the game and I knew they would ask way too many questions. Nate had gone back to his college with the football team. Thank god. I don't think I could have dealt with him any longer.

"Okay you guys are free to go" I got up to go. Me and Josh walked out the class.

"You ready to go see Steph and Trent" Josh asked me

"Yea why wouldn't I be?" I replied

"Well you know they're going to pound us with questions."

"Yea I know" I replied There was silence and then he spoke

"The main question is going to be are we together, so I'm just wondering what's your answer to that question?" I was at a loss for words

"Ummm I don't really know" I replied he grabbed my hands and then stopped me from walking. He faced me and looked me in my eyes

"Do you want to be with me?" he asked I looked towards the ground. I didn't know what to say. I know how I felt when I was with him, but I guess you could say I was scared. Of what? Well I didn't know quite yet but I didn't think I was ready to be with Josh. He was so sweet and nice and protective and I was a mess, I was fallen apart and he was put together, we didn't match. He put his hand under my chin and lifted my head up so my eyes would meet his gaze. I looked away.

"Josh I-I-I-I.... I don't know" I finally said

"What do you mean?" he asked me.

"Josh.... Do you want to be with me?" I asked him.

"Come on Sydney you already know the answer to that" he stated.

"No I don't, how would I?"

"Come on Syd,"

"Why do you call me that?" I asked

"I don't know, why do you have such a problem with it?" He asked back.

"Never mind can you just tell me what's the answer to my question?"

"My Answer? To Your Question? " I nodded. He looked in my eyes and then he tilted his head down and he kissed me. Holy shit! I was kissing him back. I had no clue what I was doing. I was waiting for him to pop in my mind, but he never did. My mind was yelling for me to pull away, but my body was not working with my mind. Josh pulled back and looked into my eyes.

"I want to be with you Sydney, no doubt about it. It's just you that needs to decide." I was still in shock. I said nothing. He grabbed my hand.

"Come on lets go to the restaurant." he said pulling me along.

When we got to the restaurant Steph and Trent were already there. We sat across from them and they just looked at us skeptically.

"So............." Trent said

"So............. " I replied. Josh laughed.

"What have you guys been doing?" Steph asked

"Nothing the usually" I replied

"And what's the usually" Trent asked

"You know a little bit of this and a little bit of that" I said.

"Whatever," She said rolling her eyes at me and averting her attention towards Josh. " Josh? What's up with you and Sydney?" Steph asked

"Nothing we have just been hanging out," He replied. I laughed

"What the hell you laughing at?" Trent asked. I laughed some more

"Nothing " I replied

"Okay all bullshit aside, here's the real question are you guys together?". Oh shit, I looked at Josh. He just looked away. He wasn't any help. I guess he was trying to let me know that it was up to me. I didn't know what to say. I did have feelings for Josh. He was nice and sweet and funny and he did make me feel safe but I wasn't ready for a relationship. Well there's my answer.

"Josh and I... we are together" I said the first part kind of slow and then rushed out the last part. He looked at me with a shocked face, but then it was replaced with a smile. I smiled back.

"Is this true Josh?" Stephanie asked

"What are we on Dr. Phil or something are you our therapist, what with all the questions?" I asked. Stephanie looked at me then back to Josh

"Josh....."

"Yea of course it's true" he replied.

"See I knew you two would get together, yall look so perfect together and at first you guys had some issues but it worked out for the better." I just looked at her and laughed. After we received our food we ordered, we ate and left. Steph said that she was going to stay over at Trent's. So once we got to the dorm she got her stuff and left, so it was just me and Josh. I went over to my bed and fell back on it. Josh did the same thing right next to me. He propped himself up on his arm.

"So what made you say yea?" he asked.

"Um I don’t know, why? Did you not want me to say yes?" I said looking up at him

"Come on Sydney" he said.

"Come on what?" I asked.

"You know I wanted you to say yes, I just don't want you to say yes because I wanted you too. It needs to be your own decision."

"Well it was my own decision. I do have feelings for you"

"Well I'm glad" He said placing a kiss on my lips. I smiled at him. I leaned up and kissed him again.
