It was a week before the finals. I, along with the others who passed in their respective colleges, went to a tour on our future colleges. First stop was Central Academy. It was a school with bright green walls and a very nature loving atmosphere. We were ushered by a couple of seniors who led the students depending on their respective courses. I went along with Robert and Jonathan to the Accountancy Department being led by a skinny girl with a sash which reads ‘Accounting for Life’.

It was a great tour. We had our lunch in the school cafeteria. I sat with Claire nearest the door until someone came in. My back was at the door so I didn’t see. What I only saw was Claire’s disgusted look. It was surprise-surprise, Luke Verhona.

“Why is it that wherever you go, You-Know-Who is always around.”

Come to think of it, it is the third time. At the mini concert, at Jazz Inn, and now here at CA.

“What is he doing here anyway?” Claire added. When I looked behind my back, he was wearing a shirt that says CA College of Engineering.

“Obviously, he studies here.” I said blankly.

“Oh no, this won’t do.” Claire shook her head, “I won’t let you study here with that goof here!”

“You don’t need to tell me,” I sipped my cola, “I won’t study here at all.”

Claire eyed me with worry. I just ignored her. Right now, all I have to do was become as numb as I possibly can.

Luke was accompanied by two other guys. They walked pass our table and then suddenly, I unintentionally looked up at him. He stopped and looked at me with the same blank expression. And as though we had that same understanding, we dropped our gazes and moved on.
