Epilogue

"Are you sure about this?" Luke queried as he walked beside his boyfriend along a crowded street. He steered the younger boy down a back street where a few small businesses were hiding
"I'm sure," Michael agreed. "I love you, Luke."
"I love you as well Michael," the blonde admitted. "But, this early on in our relationship, I couldn't justify getting a tattoo of your name!"
"I trust you," the black-haired boy nodded simply, a huge grin on his face. "I believe you are forever."
"And if I'm not? If I treat you terribly and cheat on you, what will you do then?"
"Cry and get over it. But, you are too sweet to do anything that terrible."
"Michael, I think you should wait for a little," the younger boy protested, scared about what his boyfriend was about to do.
"It's my body, Luke. Plus, I want to show you just how much I love you," Michael said pushing the tattoo shop door open and heading inside.
Luke huffed and followed inside, not wanting to wait outside, in the dodgy alleyway. He loitered behind the older boy, scanning the rather gothic scenery and shivered. This was not his type of place, he did not want to be there.
"Is the blonde fellow with you?" the man who was inked all over asked, peering past Michael.
"Yeah," Michael agreed. "He's not getting inked though, his skin is way too pure and perfect."
"Fair enough, he looks too innocent. Is he yours?" the man asked, pulling a face at the boy who did not fit in. His clothes were too smart, rather than grunge.
"He is. He is the reason I am here today," Michael revealed.
"I don't want you getting a tattoo," the blonde interrupted, a little frustrated by the way the man was talking about him.
"I know," Michael laughed. "I want to get a tattoo of his name on my right collarbone, just like this one." He pulled down the collar of his shirt to show off the tattoo of Jack's name on his left collarbone. The cursive letters clearly spelt out the boy's name.
"Did you love him?" the man asked, stepping out to take a look at the tattoo.
"I did," he agreed. Spending time with the blonde recently made him figure out he no longer loved Jack.
"He left you?"
"He died. Suicide," Michael shrugged simply.
"Damn, I'm sorry man," he muttered, tracing a finger over the pale boy's tattoo. "Don't break his heart young one, you hear me?"
Luke nodded quickly, too intimidated to speak.
"Let's get this done with then."
-
Luke had been sitting in the waiting room for a while now. He was pretty sure he had he scrolled through the same pictures on Instagram five times. But it was better than worrying that Michael was going to bleed to death or get poisoned. He didn't even know if that were possible.
His head turned when hearing a door open and a shirtless Michael steps out, cling film wrapped over his shoulder.
"I can't believe you've done this!" Luke muttered, biting his lip. It put a lot of hope into their relationship. Although he did believe they would be together forever, they could never be certain. One of them would have to go on living without the other at some point.
"Do you want to see?" the black-haired boy beamed, carefully unwrapping the material. Luke stepped closer and peered at the new tattoo across his right collarbone. It was exactly the same as the other one, just fresher and surrounded by red.
"Does it hurt?" Luke whispered, utterly shocked Michael would do this for him.
"Not too bad," he shrugged.
"Oh Michael. You are my everything," the young boy gushed, rushing into his arms, being careful not to hurt him though.
"I could same the same for you Luke. I never want to lose you."
"You won't Michael, I promise."
"Thank god I gave you that stupid chance!"

So that's it. This little book is over. Think this is the quickest I've ever written a book and been happy with the outcome.
There will not be a sequel.
