The rest of the ride was spent in absolute silence. I would stare out of the window and watch trees go by as an icy snow began to fall, it reminded me of my childhood.
I sighed to myself. I've been running from my past for as long as I can remember. It couldn't possibly hurt me now to think about it.
Let's see, I was born in the Romofski Ruins, otherwise known as the centuries old castle that was "deserted" by my family at some point in time. My mother, well I never knew her. All I was allowed to know was her name- Sarah Combs.
At a young age I was introduced to a world of violence and bloodshed. My Father raised me in the fort, along with my brother. He however, was already eight years older than me, so by the time I was six I was alone all over again.
"We're here." Those words snapped me out of my reminisce. I quickly, and as carefully as I could, slid to the door and, with the help of Vlad, easily stood on my own two feet in front of a massive-
Fortress.
It wasn't some grand palace with elegant gardens surrounding it. In fact, it was probably the most drab thing I had ever seen in my life. The most comical thing to me, was how well it fit the Prince that stood before waiting on my response.
"Are you just going to stand there with that stupid look on your face or are you going to finally-"
"Alexei!" Two feminine screams made us both snap our heads towards the grand doors as two older women ran to him and easily clomped his surprised state.
"Sofia! Maria! Get off of me this instant!" His shouts and demands fell on deaf ears as the two women continued to squeeze and coo at him.
"What's wrong baby brother? You used to love it when we did this!" The one in the red coat spoke first releasing him enough to look at his face.
"Oh! I know! He just doesn't want use to embarrass him in front of his girlfriend!" The other one laughed loudly at her own joke before turning to me.
She studied me carefully, looking me up and down before she finally spoke. "Well, she is pretty... and quiet. Let me guess, also smart and has her own ideals and opinions?"
"I-I'd like to think so." I responded quietly, not comfortable with the siblings staring at me, well Alexei was mostly giving me the look of 'Change the topic so they let go of me'.
A long silence followed as both of the sisters looked at me. After a minute they both looked at one another and nodded, before promtly letting go of Alexei and rushing towards me to envelop me in a hug.
"Uh..." I honestly had no idea what to do. I only hugged people to comfort them or to celebrate, like weddings, engagements, babies, etc.
"I'm Sofia, and that is my twin sister Maria." The one in the red coat spoke up as she rested her chin on my shoulder. "And we'll help you two fall in love." Maria spoke as she rested her head on my other shoulder.
Before I could retaliate or even open my mouth they stepped away giggling and walked back inside.
It was going to be a long stay with those two here.
~~One Week Later~~
I woke up in my four poster bed around the same time I always did, 8:30. Stitch was curled up on the corner sleeping on an extra blanket that I never used. Lazy cat.
I stood up after rubbing my eyes and stretching a little to find a box by my door.
Sighing I walked over already knowing who it was from. The devious twins have done everything to make the Prince notice me, from tying my to a chair to put makeup on me to faking love letters (Which didn't work since he knew their handwriting).
