Chapter 6

Damn homecoming is right around the corner and I don’t know how to ask her. Maybe Monique can help me.

“Sisterrrrr!!! I need helppp!” I call Monique my sister, because we’ve gotten closer and she’s grown onto me like a little sister basically.

“Brotherrrr! what’s going on?” She always matched my enthusiasm which I found funny.

“I need help asking one of your friends to homecoming.”

“Who is it? And make sure you make the right decision with who it is.” She always looked after me, since that incident that happened in the summer whicchhh is another story meant for later.

“I know it’s the right decision, because it’s Alexis” I hesitate on sending it, but I do so anyways

“Aww that’s cute, wait do you like her? Is it as friends or more than just friends?”

I can tell Monique was being a little curious, but of course it’s her best friend, might as well tell her the truth.

“To be honest, more than friends, we’ve gotten closer and I feel a bond between us, and I think she’s someone I would like to be with.” I say this, but I’m really still thinking, because exactly 6 months before, Monique asked me if I liked her, and my answer was a no. Well damn how time changes.

“I need you to help me with asking her.” I can trust Monique, so of course she the first one I got too, plus it’s her best friend, so might as well go to her.

“Okay, I’ll help you, you better not play with her emotions, or there will be consequences.” She always threatening me knowing damn well she isn’t going to do anything.

“Trust me, I would never do that. I promise.” Man I love my crazy ass sister, she can be a handful, but I would never break a promise to her.
