Chapter 22//Weakness

💜~•' Aphmau's POV '•~💜

As I woke up from my state of slumber, I felt the warmth of a body and I opened my eyes to see Laurance, but he was sleeping. He looked like he barely got any sleep at all last night!

Out of worry, I pressed the back of my hand against his forehead. Maybe he just didn't feel well and got an illness that kept him up?

He didn't feel like he had any sickness. I leaned up and yawned. Glancing at Laurance, I gave him small quick kiss on the forehead and got up. I might as well take a quick shower before Laurance wakes up..

Looking through my bag that was on the floor, I got out my own shampoo and conditioner with my school uniform.

I took my shower and got dressed. Brushed my teeth, then started to brush my hair before I heard Laurance, he must've woken up.

I waited a second in case he was going to repeat what he said at first. When he spoke again, he sounded really worried, "Aphie?"

I smiled to my self and called back to him quietly, "Yes, Laurance?" I felt his wave of relief through the door and I began to grow curious. I quickly got done brushing my hair and put some make up on and walked out of the bathroom with my pajamas in my arms and set them in the bag.

I looked up at Laurance and he had a smile on his face and what immediately caught my attention was that his eyes were glowing red. I set my stuff down and as Laurance just laid in bed, leaning up, I noticed how hard he was breathing, almost panting.

Walking over to the side Laurance slept on and gave him a hug and said, "Your eyes are red again. Did something happen?" After the first time I seen his eyes go red, I thought maybe since his eyes change color, something must be wrong?

Laurance accepted the hug hesitatingly and whispered softly, "Oh, sorry. Nothing happened, it was just a bad dream."

Something felt a little off, was he lying to me? I leaned away and I forced a sweet smile. Maybe I could sweet talk him into telling me.. Hehehe...

"Laurance..~ Are you lying to me?" I cooed and Laurance looked at me right in the eyes, he just had a smile on his face and he placed his hand on my chin and said calmly. "Now would I lie to you?~ I promise it was just a bad dream, but I appreciate you worry about me."

Darn it, first attempt failed, now for the second.. Laurance was about to get up before I gently held him in place, smiling. "Want to tell me what it was about?"

He laughed at my attempt and grabbed my arm gently and got me into the bed, he was above me and I was a blushing mess... "Hm, let me think about it.... I probably will, but later."

He gave me a quick kiss and he let me get up and he got a clearer view of my blushing face. "Fine! But just go get dressed, you knuckle head.." I said and he couldn't help but suppress a small laugh.

He got up and got stuff for a quick shower and as he was going to leave for the bathroom, I stopped him by giving him a quick kiss and walked out of the room as if nothing happened. Hoping it may have taken him a bit by surprise.

I walked down the stairs and I seen Cadenza playing with Roxy. When Roxy heard me walk down the stairs she began to bark happily and I smiled.

Cadenza watched as she jumped at my feet once I reached the bottom of the stairs and I sat down on the floor and let her climb onto my lap. As I got to lost into the the small play time I had with Roxy and what Cadenza said got me by surprise, "So besides finding Roxy, how was your date with Laurance? You two didn't do anything naug---" "NO! We didn't do any.... 'Naughty' things.... We just simply went out watch a movie, went to dinner, watched a parade, and found Roxy... But, besides that, everything was amazing!" I said and my face was flushed a shade of pink and Cadenza laughed.
