MITCH'S POV

It had been 2 months. 2 months since he forgot about me, I remember that last moment. His face was that of almost recognition, it killed me to have seen him like this. They let me go on one condition, I was to talk to no one, never to be seen by anyone, almost like I was never there. They told me one thing,

"We know what happened 200 years ago. We know what really happened. What really started this."

Something that would always puzzle me.

It was pretty lonely, even in a city with millions of people. I had been watching him, always just out of sight. He'd got a job, he had a life without me. Team crafted had split and moved far away from one another, but none of them had really changed. Of course, it was the future, technology had crept up on the world and had now basically taken over. Everyone used it for everything.

I'd barely had time to process where I was before being cast here. 200 years into the future, the year 2214. I don't know what I'd expected. I mean, every time I got close to seeing something strange like a new form of technology, something blocked it from me like a blur censor. I could see everything Jerome was doing but little of the world. I knew there was something, a tension, two sides... but I was not part of it.

He walks past me, simply oblivious that I exist. He has a new friend now, a cosplayer, they are talking together and laughing together like nothing ever happened. It was easier if I was invisible, the only way really, like a ghost. The train is leaving now, off to every destination around the world and they are boarding it, I follow despite not seeing the outside of the train.

JEROME'S POV

Sometimes I see ghosts. Yeah. Call me crazy. Sometimes I see this vision, a golden clock, identical to the one around my neck- I've had it since I was born- glowing, getting brighter and brighter. A man set in stone and a purple light. Preston thinks I've gone crazy.

"Dude, you've gone psycho again! Your staring at me like you've just seen a freakin ghost."

"Haha, sorry bro. Where we headin?"

"Station X59, you know that place that used to be called Australia or something?"

"Yeah."

"Heard they made an actual remake of the old hunger games maps!"

"Man, we used to love them."

I met Preston in 4th grade, we grew up together but he moved away. Met some people with cool abilities and called ourselves Team Crafted. But after 20 years of friendship, Sky went crazy. Shrieking that something was wrong, someone was there. Of course, everyone thought he had gone crazy and the group fell apart.

???'S POV

His destiny is set in stone now, I can see. I look down at my sleeve and sigh at the name they used to call me, The name etched across my arm. Just one name. Not like him, people have made sense of the disease as they will, our strange condition. Absolute power. They would call him anomaly, abomination or even titles yet to come. He was not aware of what he would do, or rather, they would do. It would only be a matter of time...
