JEROME'S POV

I wake with a start, the ceiling above me swims loosely around in my eyes like ripples in a pond, an uneasy feeling is gripping my gut like a razor sharp nausea net. Hurriedly I tear my eyes around the room, looking for any signs of Mitch, Sky or more importantly purple blood. They are both gone.

Down the stairs there is a sickly smell of Tuesday's Chinese food from Ashley and Brice's 'date' but no sign of anyone apart from Ebony the team's cat. I decide to boil the kettle for some strong black coffee, Ebony mews beneath me and brushes my legs with her small furry head. The soft feel of her fur would usually be calming but right now it can do nothing but make the sickness in my stomach worse.

Hopefully Sky knows what to do. I can't do anything if I don't know where they are.

TY'S POV

"Seto, I swear to Dota it wasnt me!" I moan like a whinging child.

"Says fiery boy." The sorcerer mutters sarcastically as he strides away into his book cave. "The entire forest Ty. The entire forest..."

Seto sets off towards the library and a book flies haplessly towards his open hand. He opens it and sits down, murmuring to himself occasionally. I am so bored with all these books every single day, maybe it's time to do something. My headphones are set to play on a a guitar version of 'Megalovania' and suddenly I feel like I want to light the world on fire. Probably not a good idea.

I decide that I would play Cops and Robbers until I was tired.

The lobby is crowded as hell. Guess I should set my headphones to loud.

"OMG! It's the actual freakin Deadlox!" Squeals katyindy.

"Fake!" Shouted everyone.

Finally, jeez. I can actually play.

SKY'S POV

I follow him through the back-streets of the central quarter like a magnet, everywhere he turns, I turn.

"Mitch! There is something wrong with you!" I plead hopelessly. "I swear I saw something and I'm usually right, please come on and say you trust me."

He carries on walking but I run after him.

"Mitch, Goddammit! Just stop- huh- walking!" I wheeze, the sudden asthmatic side of me takes over my lungs momentarily.

He stops walking and turns around.

"What is it?!" He said, obviously pissed at my sudden annoyance . "All I want to do is have one moment to myself without any drama or recordings or 'lads night outs' or is that not allowed once in a while? Because as you can see I'm not getting any younger!"

"Mitch, look at your head." I gasp for air, pulling out a small pocket mirror whilst trying to stop myself from keeling over with exhaustion.

"There's nothing wrong with my head."

He glances at the purple poison spreading across his head and his eyes widen.

"S-sky. What's wrong with me? I'm so sorry I didn't realise I-"

Before I could say anything I could see a gang of three men were approaching. One was wearing a panda skin.

"Haha! Look guys! We found the freak!"

MITCH'S POV

"Don't you dare touch him!!" Sky threatened. I stand in shock at the other side of the room. A gang of 3 boys were approaching us. One of them wearing a distinctive panda skin.

"What you gonna do about it? He's a freak!"

I wish I could just fly off into the distance and leave everything behind. The group gets closer and Sky begins to hover slightly off the ground, in a protective fighting stance, The panda's eyes glow red and he summons a red fire ball in the palm of his hand. My brain was screaming at me to run, run anywhere but here. Slowly, I edge backwards and creep slowly along the wall. A fiery orange object comes hurtling towards me and I bolt.

The closer I get to the Team Crafted house, the more I feel like giving up this pointless chase and letting myself die.

I jump inside and lock the door. Without thinking I rush to the kitchen and head out the back door and run along the wall, running towards the city square.

JEROME'S POV

Mitch was in trouble. I don't know how I knew, but I knew. I had woken up on the couch and raced out the door. Now here I was launching through the streets like a bullet.

I effortlessly tossed people out the way as I hurtled through the crowd. A huge orange fireball comes flying, missing my face by inches. A slight burn appears on my shoes, I whimper in temporary pain,

The path below me was starting to melt into the earth. Suddenly the sky is twisting and my vision is limited. Great, a confusion potion.

My legs begin pumping like pistons but I'm not fast enough, my muscles are too weak for me to run any faster. Just like the little boy who always finished last in PE.

MITCH'S POV

I thought I had been safe here, I was wrong. Sky had probably been killed and been left somewhere to rot. Jerome would never know I was here. The rest of Team Crafted were undoubtably playing another round of hunger games without any of us.

If I had felt terror before it had never been like this. When the bullies used to hurt me I just felt numb like someone had injected me with a gallon of anaesthetic but now it was life or death, they were finally here for me and they weren't going to stop.

But at that second, the familiar face of a friend was moving towards me, I kept running. My pursuers were 5 blocks behind me and my options were running out. I was slowly getting exhausted and my muscleless body was beginning to crumble in the adrenaline, perhaps I should tell my friends I love them.

Out of nowhere a flaming ball hits the side of my face and I collapse on the cold stone floor. Darkness envelopes me.

...

Somewhere in the distance voices laugh and jeer and I for the thousandth time in my life I feel utterly powerless

"He's dead, guys." Sneers one. "Didn't stand a chance."

"Ha! Nice one Aaron! So what do we do with his little friend here? He's powerless now."

"I like to see my enemies suffer before they are executed, lets have a little fun..."

"Of course master."

There is a faint screaming sound and echoing sounds of laughter, suddenly a voice I recognised so well screaming for mercy, I felt like I was dead.

Just then a spark of pure hatred sparked inside me. How dare they do this to the one I love?! Rage spread through my heart and my arms restart, clawing me over to the centre of the plaza. My arms are so weak so I am slow.

More muffled screams come from in front of me.

Slowly, I stand up. My whole body groans with exhaustion. I have to do this, to save him.

I feel my veins begin to rip through my arm, my heart rate begins to soar. A small glowing purple beacon of light erupts from my hands and my eyes. They all turn around, their faces in utter shock. Jerome watches with astonishment from the hard stone floor. I'm confident.

"Don't you dare hurt my friends." It's the sound of my voice but I can't recognise it anymore, from out of my hand bursts a bright purple jet of fire. That's the last thing I see before I am plunged into darkness yet again.
