JEROME'S POV

"Go on! Ask her!"

"What if I mess up?!"

"You won't!"

People would call it Love at first sight I suppose. We had been in the remains of Australia for three days and I had seen so many girls, all the same as one another. But this one girl, I didn't even know her name but I knew that she was the prettiest thing I had ever seen. Sparkling brown eyes and light blonde hair, with the nicest smile. Casually, I stroll over to her.

"Hey, you come here often?" I mentally face palm at the cheesy pick up line.

"It's actually my first time!" She says giggling.

"Well, Australia was missing out."

She laughs more.

"I know what you're trying to do, and its working."

"The name's Jerome."

"Louise."

"Do you wanna go out?" Well that was quick. Player.

"Sure! We can right now!"

Having spent the day with her at the space fair, we go back to her house.

"You're so fun and cute!" She squeals.

"I can't wait any more, Lou."

I bend in and our lips meet. It is the best kiss I have ever experienced. Suddenly, the air around me becomes dense and my dreams flood back into my head, it's as if someone is angry at me. But I ignore them, they are not going to ruin this moment.

MITCH'S POV

There's nothing I can do. I feel so angry and emotional inside, how could he do this to me? The air starts to heat up around me as I get more and more distressed. I could do everything right now, but if I did, It would hurt him and they would find me. All I can do is watch and remember. That last hunger games, Kathera dead. There was something she knew, he had kept something from me. If I read through his thoughts now, they'd track me down and do what they did to me again.

Last time, they took some of my power to use as their own. They said if I didn't then even I wouldn't be able to stop what they did to him.

KATHERA'S POV

I'm not dead, well not yet but they're trying. They've got me and they want to know everything. I hadn't know Mitch and Jerome for very long but what I did know was Jerome's deepest secret that he hadn't told anyone else.

"For the millionth time, I am not telling you!"

"Tell us the prophecy or we will kill them all."

"No."

"I will take a different approach to this, you know like the hurricane that killed your poor father. We will do it again and again until the world falls and begs at our knees for mercy."

My facial expression changes from arrogant to helpless. I had only just met them. Where was I? Why was I resisting? The strange substance they had injected me with was working wonders...

"I'm so sorry Jerome." I whisper "It happened months ago..."

The shouting stops. I will tell them for my life and I will find out where I am. Pray the other two find a way.
