After barely managing to keep my eyes open during Chemistry, finally the bell rang and walked towards my locker. Everything seemed so dull and I felt terrible. Not only did I room someone else's day but I also lost some self respect for myself.

Now I know what your thinking. My mood swings are wild and I act up at random times. Honestly, all this love triangle stuff and school work is driving me crazy.

Now back to what I was talking about before, I left for my locker until I was met up by Sherry.

"Hey babe." (We talk like this)

"Hey child."

"How was Chem?"

"How do you think?"

"Judging by your red swollen eyes and the dark circles underneath them, I can suppose you are very tired."

"Tell me about it."

"Well to make you feel better, after school Jasmine and I going to the library. We need to finish our history project. My teacher gave me the assignment like three weeks ago. But you know, the  procrastination life is the best after all. You should come. It'll be fun."

"I would love to but I don't feel like it. I have to finish a lot of work."

"Just do it at the library. They have textbooks and computers."

"I know but still."

"Nina, are you okay? I feel like you're out of it these days. Is everything alright?"

"Yeah I'm absolutely fine. What are you talking about."

"Okay. You've been acting a bit differently these days. Wanted to make sure."

"Yeah I understand."

"Does he have any part in this?"

"He who?"

"Marc??"

"No. No way."

"I heard some things. I don't know if they are true though. Alex told me that you got into a fight. What was he talking about?"

"It wasn't a fight first of all. What else did he say?"

"That's all I heard."

"Oh my gosh. People these days."

"Forget about it. Let's go home first. I have to go shower too. I feel disgusting from gym. I'll meet up at the library. I'll be there by 3. We will be waiting for you."

"See you later."

Sherry walked away and made her way to her locker.

It did seem like a much better idea to simply hang out with my friends. After all, what could possibly go wrong?

I walked home that day, shaking in my clothes. I forgot to bring my winter jacket and now I was suffering in the cold. To make myself feel better, I decided I would call up my grandmother and catch up with her. Her 78th birthday was coming up so I wanted to get her a gift. I decided I would spy and smoothly figure out what she wanted.

"Hey Granny!"

"Hi Nina. How are you sweetie?"

"I'm good. How are you?"

"Feeling better than ever. How's your mom and dad?"

"They are doing fine. Are you home right now?"

"I'm actually not. I'm out grocery shopping. Why?"

"Nothing. Just wanted to catch up with you."

"I can tell. I barely get to see you anymore. Is there a boy to blame for this?"

"Grandma!"

"I'm just kidding! But let's be honest, is there anyone special so far? You know, I met your grandpa during my last year of high school. We are going 55 years strong now!"

"Oh my gosh. Calm down grandma! Let's not get ahead of ourselves!"

"Your growing up so quickly."

"I know. In a few years, I'll be out to college."

"Maybe then you'll find someone!"

"Grandma!"

"Okay enough kidding. Well I need to go to the cashier now. I hate the awkwardness there."

"Okay, have fun! Tell them I said hi!"

"I will. Bye sweetie!"

"Bye!"

My granny would probably tell the cashier that I said hi. She's just like that.

As I continued walking, I realized that a car was slowing down. I didn't notice it until I heard a bottle crash to the ground.

"Is that Nina colada?"

In utter shock, I turned around to see it was Breona's best friend Kate. Anyone could tell who she was. Those gleaming blue eyes were so piercing, they could shake your soul.

Then out of nowhere, her black Jeep quickly sped away as fast as it came in.

When I looked at the bottle, I noticed it was beer. If I really wanted, I could have certainly reported her. But I am a good person so I'd rather not get involved in the mess. I've been involved in too much drama lately.

Sometimes its better to not fuel the fire because otherwise it may become untameable.
