Welcome to the Real World

AN: This is a more recent song I wrote earlier this school year, and I'm a bit more proud of it. There's just one line in my chorus that's a little cheesy, but that's because I ran out of rhyming words. Oh well! Here you go...

Verse 1:
If I were to walk away from my life,
What would I do?
If I were to run away from my strife,
What would it subdue? (chorus)

Chorus:
You've gotta get through your troubles,
You've gotta make it right.
You can't run from the rubble,
But you can fight  with all your might.

No one said it would be easy
As sayin' the words,
And I know it's kind of cheesy,
But welcome to the real world.

Verse 2:
Keep your head held high;
Feel the warmth of the sun.
But don't forget the dark of the night
And all the wrong you've done. (chorus)

Verse 3:
And when you've fallen down
And made an ugly sound,
Just get up again and you will see

That this isn't the end,
And you can try again.
All you've got to do is just believe! (chorus)

AN: So there you have it! Please let me know what you think and how I can make my writing better. What will I write next? Some fresh new poems? More cheesy songs? Requests from the audience, perhaps?! Keep this book in your library to find out! ('.º)
