*Cassandra's POV*

"Cass! Come downstairs!!" My mom yelled up at me. I was in my bedroom, trying to drown out the world with my loud music. Today was September 23rd, the day my dad was hit by a drunk driver, and killed. It had been 5 years since the accident, and I wanted nothing to do with the world.

It was only morning and I was already being drug out of my room. I was so scared to face the facts that dad is gone. I was dreading every second, every time my foot hit the stair below it, and the thing I dreaded most of all, when my foot hit the floor of the main level.

"Sweetie?" My mom looked at me with pain in her eyes. I'm sure my eyes were red. They probably had bags under them due to the fact I stayed up crying all night.

"What." I said in more of a command.

"I know your not taking today well. Because believe me- neither am I. But I have something for you. Hopefully it will make things a little easier. With today and all I mean." Mom said, her face filling with excitement.

"What?"

"Here" my mom handed me a small square box. It was deep, but not very wide. What could fit in here? I thought. It was all wrapped up, in red wrapping paper, my favorite color. I tore off the red wrapping paper leaving a white box with the sides taped. I got a knife and slit each piece of tape as quickly as I could. I took off the top only to see white wrapping paper laying down. I saw a tiny bit of fabric, which turned out to be a lanyard. At the end of the lanyard was a laminate piece of paper with the words "AUSTIN MAHONE TOUR 2014" making my heard beats become faster and faster. I dumped out everything inside the box and found a plain white envelope, nothing written on any of the sides. I looked at my mom, unsure as to open it or not. Her head nodded signaling that I should. I tore the envelope open, and grabbed the paper inside. "Congratulations. You have just received the purchase of 2 all-in-1 tickets. These tickets consist of backstage passes, meet and greet, VIP seats, and a special meeting just for you with none other than Austin Mahone." I looked up at my mom, my mouth wide open, my body in complete shock. I searched her face, nothing appeared other than a sly smile. I read the paper over and over, waiting for it to say just kidding, but it didn't happen. I pinched myself multiple times, testing if this was a dream.

"Honey. Are you okay?" My mom asked, concern wiped all over her face.

"I-is this real?" I managed to stutter out. My mom smiled grew, and she nodded. I screamed running up to her, and gave her a hug.

"Thank you mom!! I love you so much!!!" I screamed.

"We don't have any time to spare! Go get packed, the concert is tomorrow and it isn't in San Antonio! We're driving to Houston baby! Go get ready!" My mom said back. I spared no time turning back for the stairs. I ran up as quickly as I could.

I shoved all the clothes that could fit into my suitcase that could. I sat on the top, making it easier to zip. I ran to the bathroom gathering all the stuff I needed: deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, perfume, my brush, my straightener and curler, and some lady things. I shoved all of those things in the zipper parts on the front of my red suitcase, and brought it downstairs.

"I'm ready!!" I yelled.

"Cass! I'm right here! No need to yell!"

"Sorry," I said giggling. "I'm just really excited. When do we leave?"

"Well I have the hotel for tonight and tomorrow night. So we can leave whenever we want today."

"Let's go right now!"

"Your lucky I'm already packed. I'm going upstairs to get my suitcase, do you want me to go get anything from your room?"

"Actually I'm headed up to grab a few things too." I said.

"Okay meet me down here." I ran up to my room and grabbed my Austin poster. I wanted to get it signed. I also grabbed a few smaller posters. I hid all my blades, because I didn't want mom to see what I was planning on doing before she called me down. I grabbed the pill bottle and put it back in the medicine cabinet. Maybe there's a reason this is all happening. I completely forgot about dads death until now, and I was thankful to have him looking down on me.
