*Cassandra's POV*
Austin stood there, silently making me uneasy.
"Austin answer me!" I said raising my voice, my eyes swelling up. He stood there once more, his eyes piercing into my soul.
"Austin what happened!" I managed to yell out in between sobs.
"She.. Uh,"
"Spit it out Austin!" I screamed. My makeup ran down my face, not ready for this moment. All the boys walked away, after I asked. A simple "I am going to leave you guys alone to figure this one out" gesture. I was glad they had left us, I didn't want them to see me like this.
"She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash," he whispered out. My worst nightmare came true. I was not ready for this news, and Austin could tell. He wrapped me up in a hug and held me close.
"Baby it's okay. She's with your dad now. Don't worry," he whispered in my ear, instantly making me feel better.
"But why Austin? Why does this all have to happen to me?" I choked out.
"There's a reason behind this. God always has a plan. Believe it or not my dad passed away as well. I was two. I didn't know him but I wished I had. I remember sitting there cursing at God for putting me through this, but he's up there watching over me, protecting me. He's helping God take care of me and my mom. He's watching me live my dream, just from a different spot." I sat there taking in every word Austin just said.
"And you know what? I bet my dad and your parents are sitting up there watching over us together. They just needed a little more help."
"What am I going to do? I'm only 16! I can't take care of the house and pay off all the bills and stuff! I don't even have a job! I don't want to sell it I-"
"Relax Cass. We can look through your house stuff and figure out how long until the house is payed off and go from there. Dry your eyes baby I don't want to see you hurt."
I wiped my eyes. I thought I would cry a lot more. But I didn't. I don't know why. I guess Austin just has a way of comforting me. He's the only person able to do this, ever. I didn't understand. This had to have meant something. I pushed that out of my head and looked up at Austin. He looked down and smiled. I leaned up and pushed my lips against his. He smiled into the kiss. We deepened this kiss and his tongue slid from one end of my lip to the other and I gladly accepted. We were moving fast but I was ready. Something felt right. His tongue explored every inch of my mouth before he pulled away, both of us out of breath.
"That, was amazing," he panted. All I could do was giggle.
"Uh the boys are still here. We should probably go back down," he said.
"Or we can stay here," I said connecting my lips back with his.
"I wish we could. But we need to go back down. The three of them together is deadly. This house could turn to flames any moment. Just think of what they are doing," he held his hand out for me, which I gladly took. We went downstairs hand and hand expecting to find the boys, but they weren't there. We went down to the basement and sure enough, they were in the movie theatre room.
"What are we watching?" I said sitting on the back row of couches.
"Doesn't matter if we aren't watching," Austin whispered in my ear pulling me onto his lap. Once again, all I could do was giggle.
