*Austins POV*

I walked out to the parking lot and got into my red Range Rover. I drove to the flower shop and picked out a dozen red roses. I also got a black vase with a red ribbon around it. I then went to build-a-bear and made an "Austin Mahone" bear. Then I stopped at a booth and buy a $50 gift card to the mall, so she could go anywhere. the last place I went to was Claire's and picked out one of every Austin Mahone item they had. Then I went to the hospital.

"Hi may I help you?" the lady at the front desk asked me.

"Hi. I'm here to see Cassandra."

"Last name?"

"Ryan"

"Oh yes. 3rd floor at the end of the hall. When you get out of the elevator take a left. Room number 374."

"Thank you" I said walking away. I pushed the button of the elevator and waited for it to open. A few minutes later it did. I walked I'm pushing "3" and leaned back against the elevator. I leaned my head back and gripped the box of the stuffed animal and vase stronger. I was so nervous to what I was getting myself into. I had decided to leave the stuff from Claire's in the car because I was sure I would come see her again.

The door dinged and I heard the door open. I opened my eyes to see some people getting in. They looked at me confused but I broke the eye contact and looked at the ground. My heart beat faster and faster in my chest as the elevator began to rise again.

The door opened once more but this time it was for me. I awkwardly smiled at the ground and walked out. I walked down to the end of the hall and searched for Cassandra's room. Well when the nurse said the end of the hall she wasn't kidding. 374 was the second to last room in the hall. As the room became close and closer my heart beat faster and faster. I approached the door but didn't go in. The door was open, but I didn't look in. I looked down at the flowers in my hand before closing my eyes. I tried to imagine her but all that I could imagine was that flawless picture I saw of her.

I walked in and saw her. She laid there on the hospital bed in the hospital gown. She looked uncomfortable with all the needles poking her. There was only one word that could describe the girl in front of me.

Helpless.
