"Eomma!~" Jeongcheol said as he ran to you.

The wedding has ended. The reception is ongoing. Seungmin and Jieun are having their first dance as husband and wife. You're just standing there watching Seungcheol as he busily entertain the wedding guests. Your husband is a very popular idol. This should be normal for you. But still, it isn't.

"Ne? Do you want anything?"
"Dance with him too!" He said pointing at Seungcheol.
"I can't, baby. He's busy."
"Please! That's your gift to me!"

You suddenly realized it's only a week before their birthday. You almost forgot completely from thinking too much. You knelt down and held Jeongcheol by his shoulders.

"I'll give you any gift you want, except this. You see he's really busy." You said making him pout.
"Ok." He said sadly walking back to his seat.

You sighed and turned to see Wonwoo smiling at you. You were shocked that you stepped backwards causing you to bump a waiter. He almost lost hold of the tray he's holding. Wonwoo quickly grabbed your waist and pulled you close to prevent you from falling with the waiter.

"Mianhae! Mianhae!" You apologized to the waiter.
"Yah! Be careful!" Wonwoo told you making you look at him again.
"You scared me."
"I scared you?" He said almost laughing.
"I didn't know you were behind me s-" He suddenly pressed a finger against your lips making you stop talking.
"May I have this dance?"

You just stared at his hand before looking around. You saw Seungcheol laughing with some guests, probably some relatives. You looked at Wonwoo again and smiled. You let him take your hand and lead you to the balcony where no one is around.

Outside, the music is still audible. The noise of the crowd is less. It makes it better. The dark blue sky makes you feel sleepy. The breeze is cold. It's almost Christmas anyway.

"Here." He said wrapping his coat around your shoulders before taking your hands again to dance with you.
"Thanks."
"Hmmm? Why?"
"You took me away from that place?"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"You know, when I was just your fan, just an ordinary Carat, I was contented seeing you all happy even without me. I don't understand why." You told him.
"Why what?"
"Why now I feel so sad seeing Seungcheol happy even without me."
He sighed and pulled you closer to let you rest your head on his chest. "Y/N-ah, that's because you're not just a normal Carat. You're his wife. I know he should be doing better than this, but please try to understand. I didn't give you up just to see you sad like this. Smile, for me at least."
"What if I myself ended up giving up?" You asked him as you closed your eyes.
