Waking up the next day to the sound of my alarm drove me crazy. I groaned as I tried to turn over, but that failed.
"Ow." I cried, as I landed on my floor from falling out of bed. "Gosh. Great way to wake up."

I brushed my hair out of face with my fingers, and sat up. I yawned, as I reached up to my nightstand, and grabbed my phone. I clicked the power button, noticing a blinking blue light. One new message. And it's from Nik.
"Hey Nikki. Just checking in on you. Did you wake up in time? You've always been one to sleep in."

I laughed, as I replied to his message. Putting my phone back on the nightstand, I finally brought myself to stand up, and get ready for the day. I staggered over to my suitcases, and began to look for an outfit to wear for today. Reminder, I need to hang up all my clothes. Finally finding a nice blue-white shirt, and some black skinny jeans, I got dressed.

I walked over to my desk where my schedule was, and looked down at it. On top of my schedule was a note. What is this? I picked it up, and read it over.
Nikolina, today at nine, there will be a great and meet. Hope to see you there. -Penelope

A great and meet? Oh, that'll be fun. I rolled my eyes, and walked to my phone to check the time. 8:45 Well, that's great. I'm gonna be late. I finished getting ready, grabbed my phone, then walked out of my bedroom.

Ashleigh was in the kitchen as I approached, and she looked at me. I sighed a breath of relief, and smiled.
"Thank goodness, your here. I don't know where this great and meet is. Can you possibly show me?" I asked, shyly.
"Sure. I was just about to go also." Ashleigh said, and walked to the front door. "Come on. Or we'll be late."

I hurried after her, and closes the door behind me. She walked forward passing the other two purple buildings. I looked around, noticing groups of people heading the same way we were. Heading to the great and meet also, I suppose. Ashleigh turned right, and I quickly followed behind. Looking up ahead I could see groups of people already. Ashleigh turned, and looked at me.
"Might wanna find someone to stick with, or you'll get lost easily. Until someone picks your name, stay out of the crowd."
"My name?"
"Usually it's the guys who pick a girls name, and then talk and get to know each other."
"Why does a guy pick a girl name?"
"Partners." Ashleigh said, and stopped in her tracks to glare back at me. "Ever since Forgotten Academy started with the partner system, it's always been one boy and one girl. Which is why guys pick a girl name. They have to try and see if they'll work well together, before all the newbies get a partner."
"If it's just for the newbies, then why are returners here also?" I questioned looking at the groups expanding.
"We like to watch."
"Ah. I hope I don't get paired with some dufus." I said, and Ashleigh smiled.
"If I were you, I'd try to stay away from the twins."
"Lazarus, and Lysander?"
"Yeah. I can already tell with Lysander here, it'll be bad. Best to stay away."
"I don't see what's so bad with them. Lysander can a dick, but there's nothing wrong with Lazarus."
"Not yet." Ashleigh said, and looked ahead to see the twins walking our way. "Luckily, Lazarus already has a partner, so we got lucky. But since Lysander is new here also...there's a chance you two will paired up."

I nodded, and Ashleigh waved at me.
"Sorry, I gotta go. My partner is over there, and I wanna watch with him." She said, and took off.
"Uh...bye." I said after she was already gone.

Lazarus, and Lysander came up to me, and Lazarus smiled slightly.
"Well, good morning Nikolina." Lazarus said, and I looked at him.

His brown hair laid just above his eyes, but it looked as if he didn't take time to brush it this morning. Lysander, on the other hand, looked hot. I smiled shyly at Lazarus, and nodded.
"Good morning, Lazarus. Lysander."
"Good morning, Princess." Lysander said, and I growled.
"Don't call me that."
"Ooh, feisty. Me like." Lysander said, and Lazarus punched him in the arm. "Ow. What the hell was that for?"
"You needed it." Lazarus said, and looked at Lysander.
"Maybe I should've listened to Ashleigh." I said quietly, hoping neither one of them would hear me.
"Listened to Ashleigh? Is she saying stuff about me?" Lazarus said, and I quickly looked away. Lazarus sighed, and looked at Lysander. "Lysander, go pick out a name before you get in trouble."
"Alright. Alright. No need to be pushing, dad." Lysander said, clearly annoyed by his brother pressing him.
"I'm your brother, not your father. You do well to remember that."

Lysander walked away, flipping Lazarus off. I laughed a little, and Lazarus looked at me.
"Be careful when your around my brother, Nikolina. He's a troublemaker, and unless you intend on getting in trouble it'd be best to stay away from him."
"Same thing as Ashleigh. Except she told me to stay away from both of you." I commented, looking at Lazarus's mohangony eyes.
"It's for your best interest." Lazarus said, and noticed Lysander coming back. "Speak of the devil. That was quick."

I looked around, at the other students who were attending, and realized people were going off different places. This school is weird. Who did I even get partnered up with?
"Yo, Princess. Your with me." Lysander said, and I looked at him.
"You pulled my name?"

Lysander held a piece of paper in front my face, and on it said my name. Well, shit. Lazarus looked at me worried, but I shook my head clearly telling him to not worry about it.
"Well, let's go look around." Lysander said, and Lazarus stepped forward.
"Wait...I'll come with you." He said, but Lysander turned towards him.
"No. We're going alone. Come on Nikolina." Lysander said, and grabbed my hand.

Lazarus tried to grab my hand to hold me back. But I was out of his grasp. Lysander let go of my wrist as soon as we were away from Lazarus, and I glared up at him.
"What was that?" I asked, and pointed at my wrist.
"What? I didn't want him to come with us, is that a problem?"
"I thought you didn't like me? Why do you seem joyous that you got my name?" I questioned, and he looked down at me.
"What made you think that I didn't like you?"
"Well, in Mrs. Werrly's office you clearly didn't like me."
"Ah. Mrs. Werrly, I might not want to be here, but I didn't want to go to that school either." He said, and I cleared my throat. "No, I never disliked you. You just always got away with everything, because she protected you, and it pissed me off."
"Oh. Sorry."
"Don't be. It's past now. If you get in trouble, then you get in trouble, and I'll be able to laugh at you."
"You'll probably be the cause of me getting in trouble." I joked, and he smiled.
"I'm gonna make sure of that now." Lysander said, and cracked his knuckles. "It would be fun, anyways. To finally have someone to get in trouble with."

I smiled at him, then looked ahead.
"Where are we going?"
"Just walking around."
"Okay."

Lysander and I walked around, and talked longer than we were supposed to, but in reality I didn't care. Finally, after about two hours of talking, Lazarus finally came and found us.
"There you are. Your both missing your classes." He scolded, and Lysander smiled.
"Your right. The Princess can't miss her classes, now can she?"

I glared at Lysander, and he took a step back. I smiled at him, and walked forward.
"I'll see you later, right?" Lysander asked, and I nodded.
"Yeah. Sure."
"See ya."
"Hurry, Nikolina. Your already late for your second class." Lazarus said, and I nodded. "It's that building, over there." He pointed to a gray building off in the distance.
"Okay. Thanks."

I took off running, but the entire time one question remained in my mind. What if I get partnered with Lysander?
