Lysander's POV//

I brought Nikolina into our dorm like Lazarus told me, and I laid her down on the couch in the so-called living room. Lazarus walked up next to me, and placed his hand on Nikolina's forehead. He touched his own head, and nodded slightly. I watched quietly as Lazarus continued to look over Nikolina's body, but I knew he confused still. This is new to him. New to me. I wonder if Nikolina even knows what happened to her.

Lazarus stood up, apparently down, and looked at me. He walked closer to me, and looked over me body.
"Shirt off." He commanded, and I glared at him.
"What?"
"Take your shirt off, Lysander."
"Fine."

I pulled my shirt off, and let it fall to the floor. Lazarus looked at my stomach, then my side. The touched where Nikolina punched me, and I growled.
"Sorry. I'm checking to see if your alright."
"Why wouldn't I? I'm not stupid. Unlike someone..."

Zaiden walked up from behind me, and smacked me in the head. I growled again, and turned around to face him.
"What was that for asshole?" I spat, and he grinned.
"Lysander, cut it out. Stop being a child." Lazarus said, and I looked back at him.

Lazarus picked up my shirt, and handed it to me. He motioned for me to put it on again, and I listened. Then looking back at Nikolina, he smiled.
"Zaiden stay here, and watch over Nikolina. Lysander, and I are going to see Headmaster Matthews."
"My father? Why?" Zaiden questioned.
"We need to talk to him about some things. I would take you, but someone needs to watch Nikolina, and I don't trust Lysander."
"Jackass." I muttered.
"I heard that." Lazarus said.
"Okay. You go do what you gotta do, I'll watch over Nikolina." Zaiden said, and I clenched my fist.
"Great. Call me if she wakes up. Lysander let's go."

I reluctantly followed after Lazarus as he walked out of the doors of our dorm. He walked at a normal pace, but I noticed he was concentrating. I put my hands in my pockets, and looked down at the ground. Why did he have to let Zaiden stay there? I don't like that bastard. She's my partner. I should be with her.
"Lysander." Lazarus said, and looked towards me stopping in his tracks.
"Yeah?"
"Did you do something to piss Nikolina off?"
"No."
"You didn't? That's a first. Anyways..." Lazarus looked down at the ground, and I stepped closer to him.
"Anyways?"
"I'm trying to think of what happened to her. What was that dark magic surrounding her?"
"Why are you asking me? It's the first I've seen it."

I sighed, and looked at the sky. We were missing classes again, not like I really cared. Lazarus begin pacing back and forth, and I folded my arms across my chest.
"What if...hm? No. That wouldn't work. But what if...no that wouldn't either. Damn." Lazarus growled in frustration, and I looked at him. "Wait, what if Nikolina isn't a normal Fae?"
"What do you mean?"
"That was dark magic surrounding her. Dark Fae's aren't uncommon, but they aren't common either. Rarely there's ever one in existence."
"You think that Nikolina is a Dark Fae?"
"Yes."

Zaiden's POV//

The darkness of the living room, was slightly lit by one of the curtains being slightly opened. I watched Nikolina intently as she breathed in and out slowly but peacefully. She moved slightly, and I looked at her more closely. Nikolina opened her eyes, and looked around the room.
"Lysander?" She said, looking for him.
"Nope. Mister bad boy isn't here right now. I'm watching over you."
"Oh Zaiden." Nikolina whispered, and began to sit up.
"Hey hey hey. Be careful."
"Huh? Why?"
"Don't you remember what happened?"
"I remember practice fighting with Lysander, and now waking up here."

I looked at the dorm door, and frowned. Seems like she doesn't even remember what happened. Even though it was almost an hour ago.
"So, Nina." I began, and looked back at her, "Since we're here together let's have a chat."
"Okay. What do you wanna talk about?"
"Well, since we're on the same team, I want to know you better."
"Know me better?" She questioned, "hm? Okay. What do you want to know?"
"Anything."
"Alright. Let's see I'm seventeen, I used to live with my brother Nikalus, I've never really cared for school, and I got kicked out of class a bunch of times." Nikolina laughed, "Sorry, I don't know anything interesting to talk about."
"What about the fact that your adopted?"

Nikolina stopped, and looked at me. Dead eye-contact.
"How do you know that? I haven't told anyone about that since I found out."
"I just happened to hear."
"Were you listening to my conversation with my family?"
"You mean your adopted family?"
"Shut up." Nikolina growled, and stood up. "It doesn't matter, so don't talk about it."
"Awh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Here, let me make it up to you."
"No thanks." She said bluntly, and started walking to the door. "Tell Lysander I'll be at-"
"Let me take you on a date."

Nikolina stopped walking, and turned around to face me.
"I'm sorry what?"
"To make it up to you. Let me take you out on a date."
"A date?"
"Yes, a date."
"Like an actual date?" Nikolina said, beginning to smile.
"Yes, an actual date."
"Hmm? Sure. I'd like to go on a date."
"Sweet. Let's see, today is Wednesday. Let's go Saturday. Is that okay?"
"Yeah. That's perfect."

The dorm door opened, and Lysander, and Lazarus walked into the room. Lysander looked straight at Nikolina, and he ran towards her.
"Princess! Your alright!" Lysander cried cheerfully.
"Uh...Lysander, stop." I said, and Lazarus looked at me.
"What's wrong, Zaiden?" Lazarus asked, and walked over to me.
"Nikolina doesn't remember what happened." I whispered, and Lazarus shook his head.
"Lysander, here. Now." Lazarus commanded, and Lysander walked over.

Jeez, what are you? A dog? Nikolina looked at me, then the twins. I smiled kindly at her, and she smiled back. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Lysander snarl at me, as Lazarus told him about Nikolina.
"What did you mean, Lysander?"
"Oh. Nothing. Sorry." Lysander said casually, rubbing the back of his head. He glanced around the room, trying to find something to do. "Hey, who wants food? We never ate lunch, and I'm starving."

Nikolina smiled, and walked over to Lysander.
"Me too. Let's go eat. You coming, Lazarus?"
"Yeah. I'm coming."

Nikolina, Lysander, and Lazarus walked out the door, and I grinned.
"Hurry up, Zaiden." Lazarus said, and I nodded.
"I'm coming. I'm coming."
