Scott's P.O.V.

Seven years has passed and our family has grown closer. Angelique has decided to go to school and get her masters in literature and she's doing amazing. Lucas has grown up to be a smart little boy. Every morning Angelique and I drive him to school. He loves being called Luke rather than Lucas. Angelique and I haven't had any kids of our own but I do know that in the near future we will.

"Luke, we're going to be late. Hurry up buddy!" Angelique called. We were running late this morning because we forgot to set an alarm last night.

" Mommy I can't find my jacket," Lucas said running into the kitchen.

"That's because I have it," I announced giving him his jacket. He quickly put it on then grabbed his backpack.

"Thanks daddy," he replied grabbing my hand. We left the house and was now on our way to school.

"Don't forget you have soccer practice at five today," Angelique reminded him.

"Yes mommy," he replied. We arrived at his school and got out of the car. We walked him to his class then bid him farewell for the day.

"Bye little buddy I'll pick you up after school," I said waving at him. I dropped Angelique off at her class then went to work.

Angelique's P.O.V.

Things have really changed since I started going to university. I only had a few more months left then I'd have my masters. The family is great, everyone is healthy and alive and happy which keeps some, not all, but some very happy. Scott and I have recently discussed the topic of having a kid of our own, not that Lucas isn't my kid, and we've been trying. Well tonight I get to tell him I'm pregnant. I was so excited when I found out that I still can't believe it's happening.

Oh I forgot to mention my family. Well my father passed away two years ago, he had cancer. My mother then remarried a really young guy, God save him, and is now vacationing in the Bahamas. My brother and his family recently got an additional person. He now has a son. Kate and her husband still only has their daughter who survived. She's now the prettiest little girl I've ever seen. Then there's Christa who got married. She has no kids yet but I guess they're still waiting. Ben and Abella is happily married and is already expecting baby number two. Yes they sure are busy.

Jensen has finally gotten engaged to a pretty amazing young girl with a fiery temper. If you say the wrong thing around her you'll be stuck with her all day debating depending on the subject and your opinion about it. Scott and I plan on moving to the cabin once Lucas is done with this school year. There's a small town near by with great schools and it just makes it perfect. Nobody uses the cabin anymore unless they have a date night so Scott and I decided why not live in it. We both love the place and it's so peaceful and beautiful there. The little angel is growing up so fast.

It was now after Lucas's soccer practice and we were having dinner.

"How was school buddy?" Scott asked.

"It was so cool, our new teacher really liked the trick you taught me daddy," he stated excitedly.

"Did you learn anything interesting?" I asked.

"Yes, we learned about all kinds of animals and where they live," he replied smiling. I smiled at him.

"That's great, are you going to tell us about them before bed tonight?" Scott asked.

"Yes daddy," he replied. We finished our dinner. Scott took him to the bathroom so he could shower while I cleaned the kitchen. I finished just in time to tuck him in.

"Good night Luke, sweet dreams," I kissed his forehead.

"Night mommy, night daddy," he said sleepily.

"Night Luke," Scott replied switching off his light. We closed the door a bit then walked to our room.

"That was quite a day," he said rubbing his face tiredly.

"Scott I have to tell you something," I announced as he sat down on the bed. He pulled me to him so I was standing between his legs while his head rested on my stomach.

"What's that?" He asked looking up.

"I'm pregnant," I said smiling at him.
He looked shocked for a second then he was smiling too.

"Really I'm going to be a daddy?" He asked making sure.

"Yes you're going to be a daddy," I confirmed. He pulled me down so I was sitting on his lap. He kissed me with so much love and care that I didn't want him to stop. That night we made the most passionate love ever. I was still dreaming about it the next morning.

As time goes by one realizes what is most important to you. Sometimes with time all wounds heal. I finally have my family back in my life. The same family that has been absent my whole life. I found something in a broken relationship that I thought was impossible. Life has funny ways of executing it's plan for you. There were times that I thought things would never get better. But I never gave up and so did Scott. Thanks to his will to try with me we're in love and happy.

I must admit that there are certain times where I want to nearly rip his head off but my love for him is what has kept him alive. With everything we have been through starting with my marriage and then the gang and much more I've learned to trust him. He has a lot of secrets but I trust with time he'll tell me all about it.

We have a long road ahead of us and it's not going to be easy. There's going to be ups and downs and I hope he'll choose to stay with me through it all. Raising Lucas at my age was a hard task but I had the support of my loving husband. It was the little angel that made us realize how much we needed each other to heal. Now like I promised when I first got here I'll keep taking care of the little angel and his dad.

"I love you," I whispered.

"I love you too," he kissed me.
