Angelique's P.O.V.

After my match with Scott I decided to take a shower. As I opened my bedroom door I found and envelope on the floor addressed to me. Frowning I picked it up and walked over to my bed.

"What's that?" Scott asked coming into the room. He sat down next to me with his arms around me.

"I don't know I found it on the floor, someone must have slipped it under the door when we were downstairs," I replied opening it.

Dear Angie,

You were right, I should just give you up. You seem really happy, the happiest I've ever seen you in years.
I can't take that away from you, I love you but I'm going to let you go and find someone I can call my own. I've decided to go back to New York for a while, I just need a little space. When I'm ready to face you again I'll be sure to come pay you a visit, I promise. I'll miss you like crazy Angie. Tell Scott to take care of you and do the same for him. I love you.

Sincerely,

Ben

I wiped the tears away as I set the letter down. I was crying because I knew I hurt my best friend a lot. I couldn't stop thinking of what I should have done to prevent it. Scott has pulled me on to his lap and is rubbed my back soothingly.

"He just left," I hiccupped. My head was on his shoulder my tears soaking his shirt.

"Shh, baby girl. Everything will be just fine I promise," Scott whispered soothingly as he rubbed my back. After crying for a while, Scott carried me to the bathroom and turned on the shower. He undressed me and him and helped me get into the shower. He washed my body while I stood there too overwhelmed with Ben's letter to focus. Once our shower ended he dried us off and dressed both of us. I was wearing my shorts with his big shirt. I didn't want to sleep so I went downstairs to check on Lux.

She's been sick for a while now but she keeps insisting that it was something she ate.

"How are you feeling?" I asked sitting down on her bed.

"I feel like shit but I'll survive," she replied sitting up.

"If you want you can come help me finish cleaning the kitchen. We only have to wash the pots and wipe the counter tops. The next group will was the floors," I suggested getting up.

"Sure, I feel useless just laying here," she got up and followed me down to the kitchen.

Scott's P.O.V.

"Scott we're under attack!" Shelly came running into my office. I get up from my chair looking out the window. We are surrounded.

"Get Angelique, Lux, Lina, Mrs. Gilbert and Grandma McNally and get the children out of here," I ordered as I opened a hidden key pad in the wall. I punch a code and one of the book cases moves forward revealing a hidden arsenal. I grab three guns handing two to Shelly. The second one is intended for Mia.

"I'll try to cover you guys, they'll be moving in from the front any second now. Go and hurry!" I yell running down stairs. Shelly was already walking back up to the kids room with the girls following her. Everyone else had a gun in their hand ready to shoot anyone who comes through the door. There were twenty of us all armed.

"Come upstairs with me all of you. We have to make sure we get the kids out safely. Once they're out we'll leave. I have four getaway cars ready, we'll go five at a time!" We all ran up stairs in groups of five. I ordered one group to go downstairs to the basement to make sure the tunnels are safe.

"They're almost out," Mia said standing next to me. We heard shots being fired and I knew they're in the house.

"Get outside now!" I yelled at everyone hoping I'd be able to get us all out safely. I was the last one to get outside, relieved to see everyone is fine. Everyone has already gotten into the getaway cars, three already driving away.
They shot at us, shit they must have figured out there's no one in the house. They shot at the car with the kids in it. I shot at them hitting one of them in the chest making his lifeless body fall to the ground. I kept shooting them down one after another. I heard Mia yell at Shelly to get into the car. Shelly refused but Mia somehow got her to leave us.

The shooting stopped for only a few minutes giving me a chance to go to Angelique's side of the car.

"Please, come back to me safely?" She pleaded. I looked down at my sleeping son in her arms.

"I promise. I love you," I kissed her. She looked up deep into my eyes.

"I love you too, I'll see you in New York," she replied determination clear in her voice.

"Mia take care of yourself, Scott bring yourself and the others back safely. Don't leave anyone behind, we'll see you in New York," Grandma McNally ordered. I nodded and let them go.

"Let's get going before they start shooting at us again," Mia suggested walking over to out getaway car. She got in next to me and we drove of with three other people in the back. We drove the long drive to New York, watching as the Brooklyn gang search empty house.

A few hours later...

We have finally arrived at HQ in New York. Everyone was glad to be reunited with their loved ones. I had to find Angelique but before I do that I have to talk to Grandpa McNally.

"What happened?" He asked when I walked into his office.

"Somehow they knew where the safe house was. Luckily we saw them before they attacked and gave us enough time to escape," I explained sitting down.

"It appears we have a mole in our ranks," he scratched his chin thinking of who it could possibly be.

"We'll have to figure out who it is before they attack again," I replied standing up. I couldn't help but think that something is wrong. Either the Brooklyn gang has a really sucky stealth mode or they intended for us to see them.

"Tell Steven that he should get more people to be stationed around the building. I can't have them attack again when the children are here," he ordered. I nodded and left the office. I found Steven and told him what to do then I went up to the room where Angelique was.

"Baby girl, where are you?" I asked looking around our room.

"I'm here," her soft voice came from the bed. I grinned and got in next to her. I pulled her tiny figure closer to me.

"I love you," I whispered placing a small kiss on her nose.

"I love you too," she smiled kissing my lips. She closed her eyes, drifting off into a peaceful sleep. I heard Lucas cry, he was in a crib next to our bed. I got up and walked over to him. I picked him up and sat down on the bed again.

I gently rocked him back and forth making him stop crying. He looked into my eyes with curiosity and wonder. He's one of the best things that has ever happened in my life. I just sat there staring at him for what felt like hours thinking of how happy I am with Angelique.
