Dear Readers,
This story has a lot of violence in it and some of you are sensitive to that. I'm warning you now that this book may not be for you if you can't handle it. I agree with some of the comments that have been made, that it's never okay to romanticize violence like in the story. But here's the thing, this a work of fiction. It upsets me when people don't keep that in mind. It is just a story so calm down. You don't have too read this if what I wrote upsets you. Thank you. Enjoy the book.
Edited this chapter as best I could. Feel free to point out any mistakes.
Scott's P.O.V.
"Mr. McNally? Mr. Adams is here to see you," my secretary buzzed. I looked at my desk phone and sat down.
"Let him in," I replied buttoning up my suit jacket. My office door opened and in came Mr. Adams.
"Good afternoon, let's make this a brief meeting," I said and got the documents for him to sign.
"Not so fast, I want to add something to this contract that will ensure it remains unbreakable," he said walking towards the chair in front of my desk.
"Speak before I change my mind," I ordered. This man was getting on my nerves. I might be younger than him but it's said that I'm the most ruthless man in the world.
"My daughter, she's only nineteen and quite a hand full-"
"Get to your point, I don't have all day," I cut him off.
"I want you to get married to her," he replied sitting down.
"What makes you think that I want a wife?" I snapped at him.
"You need one," he said. I can't get married. My last wife died about two months ago after the birth of my son. I never released it in the papers. No one even knew I had a wife, Ellen wasn't one for the spotlight. She hated being the center of attention.
"You're not going to sign the contract unless I agree?" I looked at him. He just sat there with a sly grin on his face.
"Indeed," he replied. I pressed the button on the phone which led to my secretary's office.
"Yes Mr. McNally?" She answered.
"Please prepare a new contract with the additional information that involves a marriage contact and bring it up to my office," I ordered.
"Yes Sir," she replied. I sat down at my desk looking at the man in front of me.
"Which of you daughters am I to marry?" I asked. As I can remember he has three daughters but the eldest is already married. He has a son too, his first born but I've never met him.
"My youngest, Angelique. The middle child has already been spoken for," he said. What am I supposed to do with a teenager? I don't have time to look after children.
"Well if I am to marry your daughter you will not have a say in how I am to treat your daughter, she belongs to me now. Am I understood?" I leaned forward glaring at him him. He nodded his head. My office door opened and in came the secretary with the new contract. I slid it over to Mr. Adams who quickly signed it.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you," he said standing up. He turned and left my office. I threw the paper holder on my desk against the wall. It fell and broke into a million pieces. I was furious.

Angelique's P.O.V."Angelique please sit up straight and don't slouch. Smile dear you look like the grinch," my mother pestered me as we sat in the back of the limo. We were on our way to someone's wedding rehearsal dinner but I have no idea who's.
I sat up straight and plastered the most fakest smile I could muster on my face just to get her to leave me alone."Please smile when you get out of the car, we'd like to have a beautiful photo in the papers tomorrow," my father said sliding out of the limo. I was last to get out. I smiled for the camera's and went inside.
"Why are we here if I don't even know these people?" I asked looking around.
"That's because you are the one getting married, my dear," my mother informed me. I stopped breathing once those words left her mouth. I can't get married I'm only nineteen and I still have the college experience to go through.
"What?! To who am I getting married to?!" I yelled angrily.
"To me," a deep voice said from behind me. I turned around and came face to face with the hottest man I ever layed eyes on. He might be hot but I just glared at him. I didn't want to get married, at least not at this age.
"I will not marry you," I snapped at him.
"Yes you will because if you don't I will beat you until you do," my father warned. I stopped glaring at him as my face lost all colour. My father was a man of his words, I speak from experience.
"Yes father," I hung my head low as he spoke of me.
"You will be moving into my house tomorrow afternoon," my fiancé informed me.
"Why so soon?" I thought I'd at least have time to cry my eyes out before going to my new prison grounds.
"The wedding is tomorrow morning and we will not be having a honeymoon, I have to work the next day," he stated dropping a ring in the palm of my hand.
"What, no one knee thing?" I bit out sarcastically. He grabbed my wrists in a painful grip and pulled me closer to him.
"I don't have time to raise a child like you. Don't you ever expect me to do as you tell me to. I'm not your friend and most importantly you will listen to everything I say, are we clear?" He growled squeezing my wrists tighter.
"Yes," I replied looking at the ground with watery eyes.
"Good then we will get along just fine," he let go of my wrists and on instinct I started rubbing the sore skin. This was the beginning of a life in hell. If he's going to be like this at home I don't know how I'm going to survive.
"Please, let's go take our seats," my mother said dragging us to our table.
"What is your name?" I didn't know so I had to ask.
"Scott McNally," was his reply as we sat down. How did this happen? How am I supposed to spend the rest of my life with the most ruthless man on Earth?
We all sat down and went through an hour of people giving speeches and us going around to meet everyone. We also let the press take pictures of the happy couple and ask a few details about tomorrow's big plans. I need to find some way of getting out of here; out of this agreement. I'd end up killing myself if I don't.
Let's hope some kind of miracle happens.-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-☆-
