Andrew being introduced to his other siblings is quite different that when Anne was. Anne and James were just a year apart and wouldn’t notice the addition of another member to their little family. Andrew on the other hand is quite different. James and Anne has a mind of their own already. They’re quite nervous at how these two would accept little Andrew.
“Papa. Are we finally seeing Maman again?” James asked. The little royals truly missed their Maman for Mary waited two weeks to recover fully. She doesn’t want her children to see her weak. “Yes James. You’ll also see Baby Andrew.” Francis said. “But Papa. Andrew is not a girl’s name. If you don’t want the name Claire we could name her Francis. That’s a girl’s name.” Francis laughed at her daughter’s insights. They stopped walking for a while and Francis carried little Annes and said. “His name is Andrew because you have a little brother. And darling Francis is not a girl’s name. My name is Francis.” Anne furrowed her eyebrows and pointed forward so that her Papa would carry her til they reach their parent’s chamber.
“You have a visitor.” Francis said to Mary and her children rushed to her then Anme was about to speak loudly but stopped when Mary placed her index finger to her lips to signal that they should be quiet. “Do you want to meet your brother?” Mary said and James and Anne eagerly nodded. “Alright. Go to the bed with your Papa.” Mary then took Baby Andrew from the basinet and held in her arms to show to the litte children. “Maman. She has no hair.” Anne said. “Anne the baby is a He not a She. Remember.” James said. “Anne. He does have hair. It’s just fair like yours and not dark like James.” Mary said. “And Maman. Is it true?” Anne said with her eyes in utmost sincerity and seriousness. “Which?” “That Papa’s name is Francis. Isn’t it a girl’s name?” Mary smiled and reminisced the time when she and Francis were children and she would tease Francis about his name being a girl’s name and he would defend that Francis is a boy’s name and for girls it’s Frances with an E. “Yes Anne.” Anne’s race still not convinced but said. “Alright. But I can still call you Papa right?” Francis smiled and said. “Of course. You can call me Papa even if your tall and as beautiful and as old as your Maman now.” Mary gestured for James to carry baby Andrew and he was delighted. “Alright careful with the head James.” Francis sat behind James to support him and Mary handed Andrew to James. “How does it feel James? I can’t carry him yet I’m still small.” “He’s so small and light.” Then Anne brighten up as if she had another question. And she really does have one. “Maman, Papa. Can we change him? I really want a sister.” “No Anne. We can’t change him. He’s your brother forever just like James.” Mary said. “But we will try our very best to give you one.” Francis said kissing little Anne’s cheeks. Baby Andrew then fuzzed. “He’s hungry.” Mary said and took the baby from James and Francis helped her with her night gown and she fed him. “Children it’s time for bed.” Francis said. “But Papa. My bed is too hot.” James said. Francis and Mary smiled as they know where this conversation is leading. “Yes. Mine is on fire. A biiiiig fire.” Anne said. “Oh Francy we can’t let them go back to that can we?” Mary said and the two siblings smiled as they are getting what they want. “Are you sure. Will you be fine?” Francis asked Mary and she nodded. “Fine. Come I’ll see you dressed to your sleepwear then we will sleep here with Maman.” Francis said and they left. Andrew was already full and released gas then Mary put him to the basinet and he fell asleep immediately at the same time her little troop entered the door. “Did baby Andrew gave you a hard time?” Francis asked. “No. I think this baby would be easier compared to the first two.” Mary and Francis smiled then Anne pouted. Mary kissed her cheeks and they all went to bed. Mary to the farthest left. Francis to the farthest right. Anne beside her Maman and James beside Francis. While their little baby sleeping peacefully in his basinet. Francis kissed Mary in the lips and slept with their hands intertwined.
