The Physician already gave Mary the cure, he says that Mary would be fine but due to the intensity of the poison she hasn’t woke up yet. He explained to Francis that she must drink a certain tonic to ensure that even if she’s still asleep, there will be nutrition for the little baby inside her and for her as well.
In the throne room, Marcus and Bash presented Lola, all chained and with bruises. “What did we ever do to you?!” Francis said. Lola just looked at Francis with her head high. “Does this silence means that you admit your mistakes?” Francis added. Then Lola broke her silence. “All I wanted is Colin and she couldn’t give me that! I did my best to be a good lady to her. And a mistake like me running to the man I love, being concern about him, what? It cost me everything, because of her! I was disowned because of her. Colin’s serving his time in the dungeon because of her. I am mocked and unwanted because of her!!!” “You think like that? How dare you! Colin is serving his time because he decided poorly. He could’ve chosen to do otherwise and warn us but what? He decided to continue even if he saw that Mary was awake that night!” “Haven’t you heard him, he continued because of Mary’s beauty!!” “So now it is my wife’s fault because she’s beautiful? What twisted mind do you have Lola? You being disowned and being mocked and unwanted is not my wife’s fault! It is yours! You are being a good lady? A good lady in waiting doesn’t lead and watch the potential rapist to the person she’s serving. A good lady in waiting is not suppose to be the cause of her queen’s injury. And lastly, a good lady in waiting puts ger queen first above all until she’s wed. Hear that Lola, wed not engage, not promised, and certainly not just in love.” Lola was startled she doesn’t know what to say. “You can’t kill me. She treats me as a friend, Mary will never forgive you.” “She will forgive me. Maybe she’ll get angry, but she will forgive me in time! You Lola is hereby sentenced to death due to treason! Hang her! Then behead her!” Francis said. “No!!!. Father help me please!!!” Lola turned to her father. “I can’t believe I raised you! You just grew up to be as selfish as your mother! You are lucky you didn’t have a real Scottish trial!” Lola looked at her father then just closed her eyes and accepted everything. “Can I say goodbye to Colin?” “No! Bash, do the execution now!" Francis ordered. and Bash ordered the guards to bring her to the execution chamber. Francis ordered the guards to bring Colin there and he watched as Lola was executed. Then Marcus muttered to the beheaded body of Lola “Merry Christmas!”
The next morning Francis was still sleeping beside his wife until he felt some movement in their bed.“Mary?” “Yes?” “Guards! Call the physician! The queen is awake!” The physician checked on her and reported happily to Francis that the queen is fine. “Oh Mary! I’m so glad you’re alright.” “Who poisoned me? Please tell me.” “It was Lola.” “Did she confess or was this just a presumption by you and Marcus?” “She confessed and it was also reported by one of your spies.” Mary’s face dropped. “She’s dead isn’t she?” “I would accept your anger if you are. But I believe I just did that to save and protect the woman….” “Is she dead?” “Yes.” “You did the right thing.” “She tried to kill you… Wait. What?” “You did the right thing I say. You did the right thing that I should’ve done a long time ago. Thank you my love.” They share a passionate kiss that almost lead them to stripping each others clothes until their closest family and friends barged into their room. “Seriously brother? couldn’t you wait until she gives birth?” Bash made a comment and everyone was laughing. Mary took James in her arms and gestured for little Henry and Charles to sit in the bed. “Mishoo Maman.” James said then Henry added. “Awre you gonna be fine Mawry?” Charles just looked concern. “Yes my loves.” And the little children smiled.
