Legal Necessities: I need sleep, but I still want you to know that I dont own Ninjago.
——————————————————Aia's P.O.V:
We were training Lloyd at the Dojo as usual, though today Sensei had given him an extra hard task.
In preparation to bear Ninjago's fate on his shoulders, Lloyd had to do a one-handed handstand, while balancing the guys, Sensei and I on his feet.
Lloyd was struggling to keep his balance but Sensei kept encouraging him. "Focus."
"Eh, Sensei." Jay interrupted. "I'm starting to think this was a bad idea."
Cole, who stood on top of Jay and carried me on his shoulders, nodded. "Yeah Sensei, he's just a kid!"
Sensei, whom I was barely able to hold up with my arms, shook his head. "In order for him to succeed, we must all trust one another."
Then suddenly, out of nowhere a wrecking ball crashed through the wall of the dojo, causing us all to land on the floor.
"Woah, woah, woah!" Dareth ran into the room. "Thi wasn't supposed to happen until tomorrow!"
"Tomorrow?" The operator of the wrecking ball questioned. "Let me see that order."
His employee handed him the order and after taking a quick look at it, the operator spoke up again. " Oh yeah, my bad. Sorry about that! We'll be back in the morning!"
"Uhm, Dareth, what is this all about?" Cole asked as soon as the workers had left.
Dareth looked at the ground. "Well, I fell behind o some of my payments and some developer named ''Darnagom Enterprises '', is buying the entire block to put in some stupid freeze-golf course. They said if I dont come up with fifty thousand bucks tomorrow, the dojo is gone!"
"But, we already lost the Bounty, we can't lose the dojo now!" Jay complained.
Dareth clutched his precious trophies towards his chest."My trophies! All my fake trophies!"
"Wait a minute!" Zane said. " Darnagom? When you re-arrange the letters it spells-"
"O grandma?" Jay asked, which caused me to laugh.
"No!" Kai yelled. "Garmadon!"
Jay chuckled awkwardly as he scratched his head. "Right, hehe! That would make more sense."
"My dad is behind this?" Lloyd asked disappointed.
"If he destroys the dojo, where will we train Lloyd?" Cole asked.
Dareth looked at Sensei for an answer. " Any chance you got fifty thousand in that teapot of yours?"
Sensei smiled. "Worry not, Dareth. You are not in this alone. We're all with you."
"Did someone say fifty thousand-" Nya asked as she entered the room, but got interrupted by Jay.
"You didn't happen to win the lottery?"
"No." Nya shook her head. " But I heard about ''Ninjaball Run''."
"Ninjaball Run?" We all asked at the same time.
"It's the biggest roadrace in Ninjago!" Nya explained. "With the price of one-hundred-thousand big ones! And it's tomorrow!"
"Thank you, slightly bigger little ladyfighter. But you're talking about the most dangerous race known to man. Only the most serious of all racers stand a chance."
Kai looked at Nya. "But didn't you just make a few upgrades to the Ultra Sonic Raider? Maybe we can stand a chance!"
"And I can enter with my dragon!" Lloyd said, clearly exited. "You did say I needed the practice."
"So it is agreed." Sensei stated. "You will all enter this ''Ninjaball Run''. To save the dojo."
Dareth stood beside me and wept like a little child.
"Are you okay?" I asked, causing him to nod.
"Yes, little girl. These are just happy tears."
I laughed even though it bothered me to be called ''little girl''. Dareth was pretty funny after all and I have to admit that I was pretty exited for our upcoming race.
"Hey guys!" I said, gaining their attention. "If we're entering the race, we'll need all the support we can get, right? Why don't we call our families and ask them to show up and cheer for us? I can call Charles right now if you want!"
Sensei approved of my idea. "Thats a great idea, Aia. I'm sure most of them will show up."-Timeskip-
Like Sensei had predicted, most of them did show up. They just didn't show up the way we had expected them to.
Jay's parents, as well as Cole's dad and the Royal Blacksmiths, actually entered the race instead of cheering from the sidelines.
As for myself, Charles hadn't arrived yet and I was beginning to doubt that he would come at all.
I hesitantly joined my teammates in front of the Ultra Sonic Raider at the startline.
"Welcome everyone, to the annual fourteenth Ninjaball Run!" The orange-haired announcer yelled through the speakers.
"A grand game where it doesn't matter how you get there, as long as you get there first!" The second announcer added.
The crowd cheered and I began to feel exited for the race once again. Charles might not be here, but I will do my best and try to make the most out of it anyways!
"Well, lets take a look at the racers! At the startline we have a few familiar faces-"
The announcer was interrupted as Lloyd landed with the Ultra Dragon right beside the Mailman, whom he was about to announce to the crowd.
Lloyd fidgeted with the handles and I knew how he felt. "Are you nervous too, Lloyd?"
Lloyd looked at me and then shook his head. "Nope, hehe. But maybe for you guys!"
I giggled lightly and thereafter turned my attention towards Nya who was trying to say something important to us.
"Now one final thing. I installed a pretty cool upgrade" I f you're ever in a really tight spot, pull that lever. What it does-"
Nya's voice turned unclear, due to the loud noise coming from the Darkley School's truck beside us.
"What?!" Kai yelled.
Nya continued talking, but once again, none of us could hear or understand what she was saying.
The announcers voices sounded through the speakers once again. "The race is about to start, if the contestants would please take their places-"
"Thats my cue! Gotta go!" Nya yelled over the noise of the loud motors. "Good luck!"
"Wait, Nya! We couldn't hear you!" Kai yelled after her even though she was already gone.
A minute went by and Cole's dad and Jay's parents joined us by the startingline.
"Ugh!" Jay yelled, embarrassedly his parents. "Is there anyone we dont have to compete against!?"
As if on cue, a truck filled with Skullikin appeared out of the blue beside the Pirates car.
"Wait a minute!" The announcer in the green training suit yelled. "It appears some skeletons have crashed the party! Is this against the rules?"
"Rules?" The other announcer laughed. "There is only one rule in Ninjaball Run and thats ''cross the finishline first'' Lets take a look at the course! The first grueling lake starts on the streets of Ninjago City and empties out in The Sea of Sand! And Racers, look out for the dangerous tread-way known as Crashcourse Canyon, where the slightest mistaske can be your last! The next to parts of the race takes place in the white mace known as Birchwood Forest! Then, through the paralyzing Icy Glacier Barrens! Finally, in the fourth and final lake, the Racers must cross the dessert and then the finish line here in Ninjago City!"
"I dont know, guys." Kai said as we all, each in our separate seats, sat in the Raider. "If we're gonna keep the dojo, we're gonna have to beat some pretty tough competition!"
"We've face tougher challenges than this, right?" I asked. "I think we can make it!"
"One final word!" The orange-haired announcer said. "Lets have a good, clean race! So, good luck yo everyone! On your mark- Get set- Ninjaball, Go!"
And thus, the race began.
Or rather, it began fro everyone but us.
We didn't even get to drive more than five meters, before our Raide completely broke down.
"What happened?" Zane asked.
Cole gasped. "We've been sabotaged!"
I had no idea how long Lloyd and the other contestants were in the race, so I was grateful that there was a big screen to look and catch up with.
"Oh, things just got interesting and it seems some new competitors have entered the race! Meanwhile, the ninja remain at the startersline and deadlast!"
Jay yelled in frustration."Ugh, great, we're already out of the race!"
"We can't give up now!" Cole argued."Not with everything thats on the line! Help me lift this thing!"
We all helped Cole lift the Raiders wheel and actually managed to repair it.
"Thats how this is gonna go!" Kai said. "Alright, boys and girl. Let's do this!"
My teammates and I laughed with relief and thereafter crossed the startline with full speed.
