Legal Necessities: I ran out of ideas...ʘ-ʘ
-------------------------------------------------------------Cole's P.O.V:
"Ten minutes!" Kai yelled excitedly as he checked the pocket watch in his hands. "He just broke his own record, the guy is inhuman!"
Jay and I looked at Kai, then back at the ocean where Zane just broke the surface, trying to catch his breath. We had let the Bounty sail on the ocean, instead of flying in the sky, these past few days, and we all seemed to enjoy it.
Well, maybe not all of us. Aia told us she had gotten little seasick, so that's why she wasn't training with us today.
"I broke the record?" He asked hopefully.
"You destroyed it!" Kai said as he showed the with ninja the timer.
"Okay, okay. Is everyone thinking what I'm thinking?" Jay asked as he placed his hand on Kai's shoulder. "We've been training for so long, I don't think we can get any better! Just think about what we've accomplished!"
I nodded at Jay's statement as I thought about what we've accomplished these past few weeks.
Kai had learned to walk on burning coal, Jay could do a handstand onto of a lightening-mast while it was storming, I could lift Jay and Nya at the same time onto of a supersize-weight, Aia had gotten a lot more control over her powers, so now she would do these cool tricks in the air using her element to push her upwards while doing somersaults and stuff like that. It was hard to explain.
"The question should be raised." Zane said causing me to snap out of m thoughts. "Perhaps we've reached our true potential."
"Yeah! I'll go get Aia. " I said, before leaving the others.Aia's P.OV:
I held myself in a tight embrace, laying in the lower bunk as the bounty slowly rocked back and forwards, causing old memories to go through my head.
How our ship slowly began to sink.
How the water splashed up against my face as I was lowered down in the only lifeboat available.
How my mothers body got crushed by the mast and my fathers scream as he tried to help his wife stay alive.
How he looked at me, his dark grey eyes sending me one final message before the ship completely sank: "Stay strong. Stay alive."
"Aia? " A familiar voice asked, causing my to snap out of my thoughts.
I looked up and saw Cole standing in the doorway.
"Yea." I mumbled before sitting up, my head throbbing a little from the bad memories and my 'seasickness'. 'Seasickness' because I wasn't feeling bad on the outside, but rather on the inside because of the ocean.
Cole looked at me once again and chuckled as he approached me.
"Good morning, sleepyhead. How do you feel?" He joked and I sighed.
"I wasn't sleeping and I'm better." I lied.
"Suure." He answered, earning a glare from my side.
"But I'm glad you're better." He held up his hands as if to protect himself from my gaze.
"Let's find the others." He said. "We think we've found the key to unlock our true potentials."
"Really?" I asked and Cole nodded exited.
"Once we've found our true potentials, we're one step closer to find out who's the Green Ninja."
I chuckled, trying to forget about my flashback a few minutes prior. "Well, lets go then!"Zane's P.O.V:
My brothers were discussing how many pushups they could do as we entered our Sensei's room.
"What does true potential look like if-" Cole cut himself of as we saw Sensei in the middle of something important.
"Our apologies, Sensei." I said as we bowed our heads. "We have interrupted you."
Our Sensei sighed as he put down the cloth-wrapped katana he was holding when we came in.
"I'm sorry if I have been distant lately." He apologized. " My mind have bee elsewhere since Lloyd has gone missing. What can I help you with?"
"Sensei, what if we've done enough training?" Cole asked. "What if we've reached our full potential? What if we're ready?"
Our Sensei huffed.
"You might have reached peak physical condition." He explained. "But you have yet torch your inner potential."
"In each and every one of us, there are obstacles that hold us back." He explained, once again."Only when you conquer that fear, will your heart be free. Only then, will you reach your true potential. "Sensei looked at me and I smiled.
"Only then, will we have a fighting chance to stop the serpentine from releasing the Great Devourer."
Our Sensei turn around, his back facing us, causing me to gently grap his shoulder.
"Theres more to the Great Devourer than you let out, isn't there, Sensei?" I asked and the elder man sighed.
"I too, have obstacles within my own heart." He answered.
"There is a story I have never told you." Sensei began.
"Long ago, when I was a young boy, Garmadon and I were more than brothers- we were the best of friends."
"Wait a minute!" Jay interrupted, causing Aia to glare at him for interrupting the story, but he continued anyways." I know you two were brothers, but really? The king of cruelty, the doer of destruction, the captain of chaos? And you two were- friends?"
"Please, no interruptions." Sensei said, continuing with his story.
"You see, he did not always have a wicked heart. One day, I lost my sparing katana. Knowing our father would be mad, my brother told me to retrieve it, but I refused. He told me 'not to be put off, what can be done today' and went to get it himself." Sensei paused, before continuing once again.
"When my father found him, he was very ill. For he was bitten by a legendary snake the will grow forever as long as it consumes. A great evil had found its way into my brothers heart, for the snakes bite could turn the purest of things wicked. The snake is the same one the serpentine wants to reawaken today. It is the snake that took my brother away from me." Sensei finished.
"So the Great Devourer turned your brother into the dark lord?" Kai asked, barely believing what he'd just heard.
Wu nodded and sighed as he put the katana into box. "It was all my fault."
"You five have finished your training. You must now focus on stopping Pythor from collecting the four fangblades But never lose focus on the obstacles that lies within your hearts, that holds you back from true greatness. Unlock your true potential." He said as he took the red box, getting ready to leave.
"But, how are we supposed to do that, Sensei?" I asked.
"It is up to each of you to discover. Now, I must go on a personal journey of my own." Sensei answered as he headed towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Jay and Aia asked at the same time.
"To a place you can not follow."
"I you're going for Lloyd, the City of Ouroboros is filled with hundreds of Serpentine!" Cole argued. "You'll never do it alone!"
"I am going to find someone who can be of aid. The Serpentine have united and become stronger. Well need all the help we can get." The white-clad man answered.
