Kai's P.O.V:
"What happened?" I asked as the team, my sister and I finally arrived in New Ninjago City. The city hadn't changed much in appearance, but it was devoid of the warmth that made it worthy of that term. I frowned at the huge pile of junk in front of us, remembering how beautiful this City used to be before the Overlord came around.
"No power, that's what happened-" Cole was cut short when a part of the junk pile fell down and landed in front of us, only to reveal an angry mob of civilians behind it. Their clothes and tousled hair resembled that of a bunch of cavemen, which made a chill go up my spine. I couldn't even begin to imagine the pain I'd go through if my hair and clothes ended up like that as well. The mere thought of it almost made me shudder with fear.
"Outsiders must answer to the Postman!" The said person shouted as he and the other civilians glared at us from top of the pile. 'What an interesting way to welcome your saviors' I thought to myself.
"You finally made it-" Cyrus Borg, the man himself, panted as he made his way to the top of the junk pile in front of us. I guess the loss of power and the fact that he was in a wheelchair, made up for his bad shape. "Don't mind the savages. Since the power went out, everyone here has grown a bit... bored. Their imagination knows no bounds."
Cyrus stopped talking for a moment, but nearly jumped out of his wheelchair when he noticed that P.I.X.A.L was present. "P.I.X.A.L, amazing! You're powered!"
"I need to stay in character, Borg." The Postman sighed as he tapped his tree sword against his hand in a somewhat threatening manner. "This is no fun if we're not all committed."
"No, I'll have you committed if you don't all leave us at once!" Cyrus commanded. "Now, shoo! We have real problems to address."
Albeit complaining about it, the angry civilians decided to obey Cyrus' orders and leave. Once they were gone, Cyrus drove his chair down the junk pile and approached us with a smile.
"P.I.X.A.L, what's powering you?" He asked as P.I.X.A.L came to his side.
The droid smiled. "Zane gave me half of his heart."
"Thank you, Zane. I am greatly indebted." Cyrus sent him a grateful nod, before stretching his hand towards Aia. "You must be Aia West. I'm glad to finally meet you."
The Gray Ninja shook his hand with a gentle smile. I couldn't help but smile to myself upon finally seeing my friend happy. I didn't know what'd happened to her, but it was nice to see her back to her usual self.
"The feeling is mutual. I really appreciate what you've done for us. The Tecnoblades work great and the suits fit perfectly!"
"You're welcome." Cyrus chuckled, but his expression turned serious he let go of her hand. "Unfortunately, the hard drive was stolen with the digital imprint of the Overlord. You'll be unable to erase it with your Technoblades until we find it."
"Ah, don't worry! We already had a little run-in with the red-handed suspect. Or, should I say 'white-handed'- " Jay joked, much to everyone's exasperation, as he took the white scale we found in his parents' junkyard out of his pocket. "He left behind a white scale. Get this, he's Serpentine!"
"Lucky for us, the last Serpentine were sealed within a tomb way under the city. So it's about time we pay them a little visit!" Cole stated as he removed the cover of a nearby manhole, allowing us to climb down one after one.
"Approach with caution. I've also lost a few valuable prototypes." Cyrus warned. "They may be armed and extremely dangerous."
"We know." Jay nodded as he began to make his way down the manhole after Aia. "And uh- just for the record, when those prototypes are made available to the public, could you let me know? They're just the coolest gadgets!"
